I’d love to see our leek munching neighbours in the top flight… considering I had £25 e.w. (@ 33/1) on them winning the championship.

SpaceCruiser I, for one, do not want their horrible hooligans in the Premiership.

I couldn't careless if they're hooligans or not. I don't want them in the Premiership because they're Welsh!!

cmonurz Promotion to the Premiership might even force Cardiff to sort their support out once and for all.

Maybe they'd set up a membership scheme where fans are only allowed to travel to away games with a valid ID card.

Oh, they already do that?

What would be interesting would be if Cardiff ever qualified for Europe (say by losing in a cup final like Millwall/West Ham). The FA have said that they would never nominate a Welsh side to go into Europe.

As it stands Cardiff, Wrexham, Swansea, Colwyn Bay, Newport County and Merthyr are possibly the only 6 sides in Europe who are effectively barred from qualifying for Europe.

If there good enough, why not?

If Cardiff get to the Prem they deserve it. The only thing that pisses me off is they only like the English when it suits them. All that anti-English 5h1t they bellow out yet they still want to play in the English league. If they hate us that much they can p1ss off IMO.

San Marino has both its own football league and a team (San Marino Calcio) in the Italian Serie C1/B. An amateur team, A C Juvenes/Dogana, plays in both the San Marino league and the Italian amateur leagues.

The Vatican has a team in the lower reaches of the Italian leagues and apparently a little league of their own.

Well, someone has to be next year's Sheffield United. Why not them?

I take it you would both, therefore, support Sepp Blatter in his attempt to align governments with FAs in FIFA's constitution i.e. drop the home nation international teams and replace it with a GB team?

And Spacey, I didn't think you were stupid enough to think that Cardiff are the only team with hooligans.

I wouldn't care for a GB team! I class my self as English, not Scottish, Welsh or Irish.

No, you're right, but I'm extremely happy to see Millwall where they are currently. I hope they stay there forever. ;)

Cardiff should be in the Welsh premier league.

They certainly have every chance at this point. So much for them losing points due to Administration.

Surely the question should be....should they be allowed in the ENGLISH LEAGUE?

Especially when most of their fans hate the English.

Scousers hate Mancs, Geordies hate Mackems. Not a reason for any of the teams not to play in the league.

Ideally Swansea, Cardiff and Wrexham would play in the Welsh League but it's not reasonable to chuck them out of the Football league. I'd rather have them than allow the Scottish clubs to become economic migrants into our leagues....

IIRC, when they were setting up the new Welsh league (in the early 90's I think?), they asked the big Welsh teams if they would defect to the new league. Rather predictably, the big Welsh teams turned it down because they would lose money if they played in that league. No surprise at all.

They probably have more English players than most Prem sides.
