Watford 2-2 Col U

30 matches remaining. Win 'em all, and Watford shatter the existing mark with 126 points.

LOL @ Cardiff being the big worry this time a year ago.

So Watford can only afford to drop 19 more points to top our record..71 points from 30 games, not really very likely is it?

No...unless we can move all our games away from the Vic!

I'd settle for promotion no matter how many points.

Trouble is then how do we build a team to stand any chance of staying up.

As said on Match of the Day - when you gain automatic promotion you have more time to sort out the squad for the following year in the premiership whereas the play off winners only have a few weeks and by that time have lost out on quite a lot of players.

Gain auto promotion and i reckon you guys will do ok next year - you got a good manager there!

You would think there is a bit of money to spend now.

The spine of De Merit, Mahon and King has been the key for you guys in recent years. Need to build on that...

How old is Mahon now days??

Dirk Gently I can also see them losing Marlon King in January.

Not likely when they put a price tag of 60 million on his head

Take away 47 million and I bet Boothroyd would say yes.

Mahon is around 29/30 so might be a bit slow for the Prem...

King must not be sold for any prices IF we really do want to go up anf stay up.

Watford in November:
L 0-3 West Brom (H)
W 1-3 Norwich (A)
D 2-2 Col U (H)
L 3-2 Barnsley (A)
L 1-2 Burnley (H)

Still top of the Championship with 36 points from 18 games, but West Brom would be two behind them with a win at Plymouth tomorrow.

The biggest joke is that we are still top....

Nevermind Sunderland losing 7-1...we'd lose 14-1 on current form in the Prem.

It's a crying shame for my wallet that the baggies can't show such resolve.
