T.R.O.L.I. Wrexham relegated following a 2-0 loss at Hereford.

Shame, nice club.

Agreed - they never really got over being relegated after being deducted 10 points for being deliberately taken into administration by that bastard Hamilton who was trying to close them down and build houses.

Will the BSP accept them as they are a Welsh Club? I'm sure I read somewhere that there was some debate over that..

Newport County are in the Blue Square South, so presumably the Prem would accept them if they got promoted (if not, they really should let them know as they're one point of the play offs, despite getting dicked by Thurrock last night).

Last night' result means the classic footy trivia question "Name 5 league teams with an X in their name" has been all but killed off

Although we lost Halifax, Oxford and Exeter to the BSP quite a while ago...

So that's 4 gone - I wonder if Crewe are worried?

So Wrexham is not going to the League of Wales?

There's two other Welsh teams dotted around the lower leagues of English football.

Merthyr are in the BG Premier League (what used to be called the Southern League) and Colwyn Bay play in the Northern Premier League.

I can recall seeing Merthyr play at Wycombe, back in the olden days when it was OK to like Wycombe for being a progressive and well intentioned non-League club.

Apparently Bournemouth have won 6 on the trot to save themselves from relegation some weeks ago - they now need to get a better result than Cheltenham on the last day to stay up. Incredible.

No apparently about it. They will also stay up if they win their last game and Crewe lose theirs. Unfortunately for them, the final day's fixtures are:

Carlisle v Bournemouth, 15:00
Cheltenham v Doncaster, 15:00
Crewe v Oldham, 15:00

Can't see them winning at Brunton Park seeing as Carlisle are chasing automatic promotion.

Massive achievement if they do it and I hope they do. Very likable football club and about time they had a change of fortunes on and off the pitch.

It was also hard to see Carlisle getting spanked by Milwall - big jitters going on up in Cumbria and Bournemouth certainly have a shout.

A draw for Bournemouth and defeat for Cheltenham is very possible.

T.R.O.L.I. Carlisle v Bournemouth, 15:00
Cheltenham v Doncaster, 15:00

These two games have massive significance at both ends.

That third division stuff's got nothing on the Colaship on for complete and utter incomprehensibility (updated after Monday's result at The Hawthorns):

Top:
West Brom...78/+31 QPR away (range of possible final placing: 1st-2nd)
Stoke.........78/+14 Leicester at home (1st-3rd)
----------------
Hull...........75/+19 Ipswich away (1st-3rd)
Bristol C......71/-2 Preston at home (4th-6th)
Watford......69/+6/scored 61 Blackpool away (4th-9th)
Palace........68/+11/scored 53 Burnley at home (4th-9th)
----------------
Wolves.......67/+4/scored 52 Plymouth at home (5th-10th)
ITFC..........66/+8/scored 64 Hull at home (5th-10th)
SUFC.........66/+6/scored 54 Southampton away (5th-10th)

Safe in the middle: Plymouth, Burnley, Charlton, Cardiff, QPR, Preston, Norwich, Barnsley

Bottom:
Blackpool.....53/-5/scored 58 Watford at home (15th-22nd)
Coventry.....53/-9/scored 51 Charlton away (15th-22nd)
SWFC.........52/-4/scored 50 Norwich at home (16th-22nd)
Leicester.....51/-3/scored 42 Stoke away (18th-22nd)
----------------
FKATBTITL...51/-17 Blades at home (18th-22nd)

Down: Scunny, Col U

As for the Sunday scenarios...be my guest.

It is a shame really, they will almost certainly lose their ground- and it is unlikely they will get another one.
