What an amazing game...well done Burnley, but I'm glad Spurs have gone to the final. At least they shouldn't get hammered by Utd......Burnley would have been smashed!

I feel really sad for Burnley. They play such good football and Spurs played like big-time charlies.

Burnley deserved to go through and if Spurs play like that THEY will be battered by United. Burnley did the Championship proud and would have played well in the final.

Spurs will play better against Utd....Spurs thought they were home and dry for most of the game and nearly had the smile taken from their smug faces....however, I doubt they will be that bad v Utd.

Maybe but they played sh*te.

Robbie Blake was great and so was Chris Eagles, Brian Jensen, Clarke Carlisle and others.

Why is the League Cup the only competition to only count away goals after extra time? Any other competition, Burnley would have been through at full time.

So the top teams always have another chance in extra-time.

Bingo.

To make it more interesting they should give each of the 92 clubs a seeding. Open draws in each round with teams coming in as they currently do. Lowest seeded team is always at home and its a one off tie.

Won't happen unfortunately but a good idea. Also some smaller clubs would prefer to play at the big teams to get the gate receipts surely?

Not litrally robbed but no one can say that Spurs deserve to be in the final.

they were very cocky and nearly got embrassed and its a shame they didnt!

Under the rules of the competition Spurs deserve to be in the final - the fact that the rules are very poor is by the by.

Burnley scored 4, Spurs scored 6. Spurs deserve to be in the final

Can't blame Spurs for Burnley giving up before the end of the game.

Burnley gave up did they?
What a cracking night which shows yet again why cup competitions are so much more exciting than a long league programme.
All credit to Burnley who over the two legs played a better passing game than their Premiership rivals but were undone by goals from very expensive international strikers.
As a BTW seeing O'Hara being one of the few able to hold his head up high (as in the first leg) before his injury why on earth would Spurs want somebody inferior in that position for £5 million.
I do hope that we make automatic as the play-off lottery would be just that with teams like Swansea,Cardiff,Burnley,Preston and Sheff Utd all capable of raising their game for a few important matches.

To be honest, Spurs look like a team with a lot of players that don't fancy it. Redknapp himself admitted in his post match interview that he has inherited a team with no decent back up keeper and players that play where they want to on the pitch. I have had a cheeky tenner on them at 9/1 for relegation

You just can't let it go can you?

I really have no idea why, but I found myself wanting Spurs to get through last night. Maybe it's jealousy of Burnley's achievement - I actually can't work it out to be honest.

Burnley play very impressive football. It's hard not to like them.

And yes I would be very nervous if we don't go up automatically. Burnley and Swansea play very good football and Cardiff are a good solid team. Wouldn't like to play any of them in the playoffs.

To be fair I think Brum are worse than any of them.

How did those Arsenal youth players get in in this competition? Have they conquered the world yet?
