Did the board just remember they lost 7-1 because I thought he might be given more of a go after their win in the week?

This may have triggered their revival

Hiring him was a shot in the dark anyway.

Hmm, I always thought she'd have a short fuse. No doubt this particular powder-keg will hit a magazine near you soon.

What a mentally timed decision.

I can only assume something must have misfired at board level.

I suspected Norwich would've fired their Gunn after last week's barrel of laughs.

It was important for the board to take stock of the situation. They didn't want to go off half-cocked and they have to be sure that the replacement will be of a better caliber!

I believe they need a high calibre manager, if they don't want to keep firing blanks

The Pink 'Un and Kick It Off are hinting strongly that Coppell will be unveiled on Fri.

It's a Coppell club, perfect for him!

Question by some local hack: "is the number one target managing elsewhere?"
Answer by Norwich dude in charge: "yes he is".

Therefore the new manager, if their number one target, is not Coppell.

Mark Robins is my guess.

Terminal Boardom
Jackson Corner No one's mentioned Reading 0 Bristol Rovers 6 and it should have been 10! There fans deserve better fantastic support year in year out to be spanked 7-1 at home on the opening day is the stuff of nightmares.

Not forgetting that it was 0-0 at half time! My eldest son's first game and he slept through the second half!

Losing 7-5 away at Donny in 82/3
Losing 7-1 at Chesterfield in 79/80
Beating Barnsley 7-0 in 79/80

But for home ground tonkings, one of the best was when we did Exeter 6-4 in 93/4

Didn't England beat Scotland 9-1 or something similar at Hampden in the 1960s?

Why is 6-4 a tonking ? It's no different to 2-0.

Soccer AM did a bit on the Col U game.

Announced at the start of the highlights that there was a message for the home defence :

Delia with ' WHERE ARE YOU ?'

Has anyone got this available to put on Youtube ?

Aye, that story was published at 5.

Adkins is favourite.
