Deathy Just give up m8. Return Chelsea to the average top ten Premiership club they really are and let's all have a d.i.s.c.o

I'd rather Man Utd and Arsenal drop out of the top 4, I'll be having a disco.

exileinleeds Taken from the Chelsea site:-
Chelsea Football Club has issued the following statement:
Chelsea will mount the strongest appeal possible following the decision of FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber over Gaël Kakuta.
The sanctions are without precedent to this level and totally disproportionate to the alleged offence and the financial penalty imposed.
We cannot comment further until we receive the full written rationale for this extraordinarily arbitrary decision.
Couldn't happen to a nicer club.

Francis Collado 'The player is under contract for two more years and, if a club is attracted, they have to contact us. 'If he is contacted when he's under contract and signs for another club, the risk is a six month suspension for the player and a year ban for signing players by the club. These are FIFA rules and there is no reason for them not to apply to Chelsea

Wouldnt be surprised if more came to light as well.
I cant recall the players name, but Chelsea signed a player in much the same circumstances from Reggina. A 16 year old who had a contract worth about £20k a year, the maximum you are allowed for a 16 year old under Italian Law. Chelsea quite literally stole him, offered him 10 times that, the lad didnt want to go but given that Regio is a pretty poor place to live financially, his Mum just packed his bags and sent him!!
United used the same legal loophole to poach Macceda from Lazio. In both cases the clubs could do nothing to prevent the players leaving due to their age.

Arnie_Pie I would expect every club who reckons an English club to have robbed them of a player will complain now and ask for the same. Big can of worms.

papereyes ... but I think these may be illegal under the laws of some other European countries. I'm fairly sure that's why Italy and Spain made a fuss but couldn't do *anything* about Fabregas, Pique, Macheda et al.
