I just know it's gonna be France, shame they couldn't nick it tonight. oh well at least every team in group A is on 1 point.

Put a few pennies on some underdogs to keep me interested.

Ivory Coast to win - £2 @ 70/1
Serbia to win - £2 @ 70/1
Ghana to win £2 @ 240/1

Drogba top goalscorer £2 at 80/1

tournament bets for me today:

Lay Argentina at 6.6 at HT during their game.
Sell Tournament goals at 156. That ball at altitude will mean lots of low scoring games for me. Free Kicks dont dip and i cant see many headed goals from crosses either.

Right, I've decided to take up 888sport.com's offer of a fully refundable first £20 bet.

Accumulator on:

Germany to beat Australia
Holland to beat Denmark
Slovakia to beat NZ
Brazil to beat North Korea
Spain to beat Switzerland
Chile to beat Honduras
and the most risky: Italy to draw with Paraguay

£20 returns £432.93

:D

Can't understand the correct score market on this one. 0-0 only a marginal second favourite at 7.6 to 1-0 Cameroon 6.8. 2-0 Cameroon looks great value at 11.5.

4pts Cameroon win (2.3)
2pts Cameroon 2-0 (11.5)
3pts Over 2.5 goals (2.58)

I've put my 4 quid winnings on unders again.

There really dont seem a lot of goals about in this round of games, hopefully this one will be the same...if not...then I've not lost anything for the day.

It seemed a good idea to have a punt on Japan. I suspect my winning ways may be about to come to an end.

I do not understand this decimal stuff though- what is wrong with a good old fashioned 13/8? It seems to me to be the amount of money you get back for each pound bet- is that right?

Yes, but 13/8 only tells you that for every £8 you bet, you win £13, plus your stake back. What about if you bet £3?

Decimals give you your total winnings, including stake. You just multiply the decimal figure by your stake.

So 2.00 is evens, i.e. £2 returns £4, including your stake. Simples.

Multiply your stake by the decimal odds, e.g. 2.58, and that's what you'll bank if you win (including stake).

I wager £10 at odds of 2.58, so 2.58 x 10 = £25.80.

I find decimal odds much easier personally, but most sites have the option to display in either, or on betfair go to "Help" at the side of the market and you can convert decimal into fractional.

Cheers guys, not sure about Betfair tho, it is prolly to complicated for me, I am just not the sort of girl who would want to lay a team.

Two days running I have just had a last minute instinct bet- Ghana and Japan....get your money on Holland in the final....
