LOADS of draws, 1 man team, massive budget and nothing to show for it. Those are the harsh facts.
i am shocked by this still naturally and I do think it's a bit mental but the bloke is more overr8d than Fat Frank.

Alan Partridge Like I said I still find it strange but he's a funny character. Not likeable and whilst that's not the be all and end all it bides you time sometimes. He's a sort of person i can see clashing with people, fans, players, board. He's spent a lot of money for that level, despite all the 'unbeaten run' stuff they still haven't won promotion. you'd have thought going unbeaten for 40 odd games you'd be either up or like Charlton top by miles but they draw loads.
i think the majority of their fan reaction is they are happy about this, I'm not that surprised to be honest.

Silver Fox How do you get unfairly dismissed as a football manager? I can only think of that being possible if they alleged some sort of gross misconduct that you disputed

Sounds a bit like our Brendan in that respect I suppose. Fans would have been a lot more forgiving during his first few months had he shown a bit more humility.

Fail. Epic FAIL!!! Fans would have been more forgiving had the results and performances been so much better than they were. His BS was purely his way of covering up the squad's deficiences.

Was rather hoping you'd be on here calling for Ling's head today. Sadly, Cheltenham managed to put in an even more inept display against the Gulls last night than they did against Hereford at the weekend. The natives were extremely restless in the Skip by the end last night - I don't think it'll be too long before they want Yates's head on a pole.

winchester_royal Disagree.
Though we weren't fantastic by any means under Rodgers things were starting to pick up. He was disliked by most of the supporters (IMO) not because of how the team was playing, but because of his arrogant interviews, big watch, and constant name-dropping.
Indeed he was sacked not because of results, but because of him being a complete prick.

That would be mental, Cheltenham and Torquay should be about 20th and 21st in the league. In terms of football that was the 2nd worst I've seen us play this year but we've won both of those games 1-0. So happy days.

Lesson learnt for me & many others I guess. Don't judge how a football club is going by league position and the odd minor headline. Their fans couldn't be happier that he is gone.

Met him have you? He is actually a thoroughly decent and likeable bloke and your comment suggests you are a bit of a prick.
