Good luck to Hull; they have spent big and I suppose it would be good to see them stay up - personally I don't think they will.

If they do go down their level of spending will mean that if they don't then get back up within the following 2 years they will be oxf*rd for a long time.

It's not perfect but I prefer the Reading model. Whatever happened last season, there was never a chance that we would go bust, at any stage, as a result of it, or of the unpredictable pains the economy is going to inflict on the club in the coming years.

Whatever happens to Hull from here on in, I sincerely doubt that Geovanni will make much of a contribution - the comparison to Seol is an excellent one.

Now according to the authority that is Dirk Gently, Hull follow the Reading model.

And it is possibly an important point that before the January transfer window, they'd spent little over £6 million since getting promoted. This was actually the lowest summer spending of the three promoted clubs (although West Brom did recoup a hefty sum from the eventual sale of Curtis Davies).

Bullard rumoured to be on £40k a week, Giovanni thought to be on £35k a week. Pizzaro deal only fell through as Hull offered £40k but he wanted £50k.

Not sure it's been mentioned, but Darren Bent to Sunderland in a swap deal for Kenwyn Jones plus £6m. Not a done deal, but SSN report deal is close.

Looks like that deal values him at £1.

Archie's penalty
The whole year inn I can't read properly

Who cares that he has been off form for the past few weeks?

His form at the start of the season has Hull in with a fighting chance of staying up

Isn't that exactly what Seol-Ki-Hyon gave to us :|

Really rate Jones. He is a monster and has the pace and power to cause trouble.

Thought Keane had wasted a lot of money on him when he 1st signed, but Jones was quality last season. Will give Spurs a much better option than Bent imo.

Pretty decent capture by dog face in my opinion.

I cant understand it though, unless Harry is planning on dropping/selling Gomez then Cudicini will simply be a substitute goalkeeper again? :|

He has played Alnwick in the last two matches, they may have only been cup games but Alnwick hadn't played for Spurs before. I fully expect Cudcini to be the new first choice keeper at Spurs.

Being No2 to a gaff prone Gomez has got to more appealing that warming the bench behind "the world's best keeper".

Although if you read what the Spurs fans are saying in that they have never seen such a turnaround from a player like that of Gomes, who apparantly has been outstanding recently.

My thoughts exactly. He'll at least be challenging Gomes for the jersey rather than having no chance of dislodging Cech.

To be fair, Gomes has been a bit safer recently, but he is prone to some awful mistakes.

At least with Carlo you know what you get.
