soggy biscuit Some of the media claim Fulham have had a £12M offer for Kostas Mitroglou accepted by Olympiacos

Taraabt not included in Fulham's squad yesterday as AC Milan are discussing a move for him. lolwut!

SSN were reporting the other day that AC were after Kasper Schmeichel too - is the standard of Serie A really that low these days?

Cardiff selling Cornelius back to Copenhagen for 3mil, 7 months after signing him for 7.5mil. One PL start, no goals. FaiLOL/

Not suggesting Vincent Tan isn't anything but a complete loon but he did have a point that some of McKay's transfer dealings were a bit shit.

Then again, who's the bigger fool, the fool or the fool who gives him the money.

But I thought this Ian Moody bloke was in charge of transfers? Sort of proving why Tan was right to sack him now.

PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi We went for Cabaye for three reasons:
1) He is a very good player
2) I have never met him but they tell me that he is a very good bloke.
3) He is French and it is very important for us to recruit French players at PSG, and to bring them back to the French league

I am liking number 2 in there as a reason why you sign someone

The opposite would be a good reason NOT to sign someone.

I'm always a bit torn on these as they could well be shite but from a quick look he's been struggling with a niggling injury and also he's 20. There's many, many reasons why it might not have worked.

The story from 10+ years ago I heard was a young talented East European striker was on a deal that 50 % odd of any transfer fee from his original club would go to him. One multimillion pound deal later and, admittedly, a spending spree on kebabs, and you had a fat, rich twenty something. He did go on to have a reasonable career but his time at England was kind of ruined.

I hope not, I laughed a Spurs mate out of the room for suggesting that and bet him a tenner that Berbatov would retire having never played for Spurs again...

Sky Sports saying Tom Ince has agreed terms with Monaco (not that he is moving there, he seems to be doing a tour of the country at the moment agreeing terms with lots of clubs)

Didn't know they'd reformed. Word of warning for Ince, Peter Hook is notoriously difficult to work with.
