Thomas L'Heureux At least with Carlo you know what you get.

A man happy to miss a huge chunk of his career in order to earn more money?

Alan Partridge Although if you read what the Spurs fans are saying in that they have never seen such a turnaround from a player like that of Gomes, who apparantly has been outstanding recently.

His only major issue was dealing with crosses/high balls.

Failure at this lead to a bit of a crisis of confidence and simpler mistakes then happened.

He was regularly making some fantastic saves and stops but no-one remembers them if you spaff the ball into your own net from a weak header or drop a cross.

I went for the third option, tbf.

I swear 'to spaff' was used as 'to mess something up through clumsiness' at school.

Gomes is hardly sat at his near post, fervently teasing himself off, while the opposition put it into the empty net, now, is he?

Then surely he'll get that little Mexican slaveboy that Spurs have bought to do it.

Apparently Arsenal are no nearer to signing him though, over personal terms (ie he wants close to £80k, Arsenal will only pay £60k)

Mark Davies moves from Wolves to Bolton. BBC.

Not going to weaken them much, as he's been on loan at Leicester, but what was it McCarthy said about any of his players handing in a transfer request?
