AthleticoSpizz Roll the "Martinez to Reading" rumours

If he's prepared to drop to the Championship (he might not have a choice) surely he would be of interest to Villa? Or Newcastle, assuming Benitez leaves.

No sarcasm required. Martinez got relegated with Wigan and took Everton to mid-table. It's difficult to see he has a Premier League option next.

Like dominoes.

Quique Sanchez Flores to leave Watford, despite a comfortable mid-table finish and an FA Cup semi-final.
Bizarre. What must his target have been at the start of the season?

Sanguine Martinez gone. De Boer it is then.

Some of the papers this morning saying Everton want Koeman.

Mental decision. Unless it was his choice.

Would Koeman leave Saints for Everton?

Pozzos have had 6 managers since they took over 4 years ago. The bloke that took them up got sidelined straight away. Seems to be the Italian way.

I think a lot will depend on assurances about how much money the new Everton owners are prepared to put in. Southampton are in a good place with regard to youngsters, stability and current status but clubs know they will part with their better players each season.

Mane and Wanyama look likely to leave this summer and Koeman might be tempted by a newly wealthy club that will give him money to spend without having to sell.

Weirdly I think De Boer would be a good fit for Saints and them an even better fit for him as a stepping stone for somewhere much bigger. Obviously on the face of it Southampton would appear a step down from Ajax but so would Everton. I just feel he can prove himself in a shorter space of time at Saints.

My Arsenal supporting mate is desperate for him to be Wenger's replacement.

Zola, Oscar Garcia, Jokanovic, Sanchez Flores, Mazzarri.

As someone on the radio said earlier, the owners know they like pasta, they just aren't sure which type.

I think that works.

He just doesn't seem as bothered any more. Or 'he's done a Hazard', as it has become known.
