Windsor's game is still 'free' with a choice of a donation to charity instead if anyone is at a loose end on Wednesday evening.

Ebbsfleet United 1-1 Dartford – att 2435

SOUTH1S&W
Bashley 0-3 Winchester Cityhat-trick for Bentley –
we braved the B/H traffic for this – was as one-sided as the score suggest but not as big a defeat as anticipated – Bashley worked very hard but sadly had no cohesion at all with the ball – so nearly grabbed a goal 2nd half but linesman’s flag overturned a penalty award for Bash.

Wantage Town 0-2 Banbury United

CCLP
Guildford City 0-1 Sutton Common Rovers
Horley Town 4-0 Redhill
HELLP
Ardley United 7-1 Highmoor-Ibis

This pretty much ranks as a defeat for City. We have now played Bashley twice - both times in less than perfect conditions admittedly - but have only scored seven against them. Our play off contenders have scored - 13, 11 and 9 - the play offs will come down to goal difference, so this is a disappointment. FFS Tiverton put 11 past them! Winch are slipping up with the end in sight.

More rain disrupted a lot of scheduled and hastily re-arranged matches following the B/H Monday but of those played

CCLP wins for Windsor 2-1 vs Knaphill, Hartley eased past bottom side Cove but only 2-0 and Farnham held Camberley to a 1-1 draw. Epsom & Ewell took over third spot with a 3-0 win at Raynes Park Vale.

HELLP the big East Berksico Derby (actually there were two this week  ) saw Bracknell edge Wokingham & Emm 2-1 in front of 130 and Binfield thumped Ascot 4-0. Elsewhere Flackwell got an impressive 3-0 win at Thame and Highmoor/IBIS recovered form their Monday mauling at Ardley, to grab a win at Highworth.
Thatcham were dumped out of another Cup competition the Floodlit S-F 2-4 at home to Brimscomb - who will play Ascot in the Final.

Me and the youngest zapped down a mercifully clear M3 to WESSP Alresford 0-2 Whitchurch - fairly routine win for the 'Jam Boys' - their hosts are 2nd bottom on a run of eight straight defeats in the league and are in serious danger of reversing at high-speed past bottom placed Folland Sports, who are improving slowly - at least away from home.
Sports have, what can only appear to be, one of those "Gypsy's Curse" seasons at their home ground: P16 W1 D0 L15 - maybe some ol' Romany objected to them recently changing their name from Hamble - or has a pathological hatred of Gnats :D

Got to feel for the Hartley Wintney players - a number of them were at Cove last year who were high-flying until it was announced that they could not be promoted due to ground grading issues. Then they sunk to 4th.

Most of the squad then followed the manager when he decamped to HW, now loh and behold - same thing happens!! Meanwhile Cove, left without a pot to piss in, have amassed just 7 points all season this time around.

Although HW obviously have a good playing budget (whereas most clubs have none) so I doubt my feeling sorry for them will last. Actually, now I come to think, it's pretty funny in a darkly ironic kind of way.

I am sure there's a back story involved but the logic of spending money on assembling a squad capable of winning promotion BEFORE spending on the ground might appear to be a little flawed to some.

NL Results from yesterday:

Saturday 2nd April

NAT
Aldershot Town 0-1 Barrow
Southport 2-2 Woking
NATN
Brackley Town 0-0 AFC Fylde - Saints only out of relegation zone on GD and Lowestoft just below them, with 2 games in hand, won away at Stockport
NATS
Basingstoke Town 0-2 Concord Rangers
Bishop's Stortford 3-0 Oxford City
Chelmsford City 3-1 Bath City
Dartford 2-0 Maidenhead United
Hayes & Yeading Utd
0-5 Ebbsfleet United
Hemel Hempstead Town 1-0 Gosport Borough
St Albans City 1-2 Maidstone United
Sutton United 2-1 Eastbourne Borough
Truro City P-P Whitehawk
Wealdstone 3-2 Havant & Waterlooville - all the goals in the last half hour – indeed Hawks led 0-2 on 62’
Weston-Super-Mare 1-0 Margate

ISTHP
Needham Market 0-2 Farnborough - no Vastsuk – his loan period has expired – presumably back with us now then?
Staines Town 2-2 Leiston - Staines probably secure from relegation after this point; goals from Hippolyte Jnr & Tre Mitford – very recently ex-Burnham unless he’s dual registered …or got a namesake?

SOUTHP
Hungerford Town 1-0 Merthyr Town - 'Rebels' do Hungerford a great favour beating play off rivals Chipp'num
Poole Town 3-0 Chesham United - 'Dolphins' take over top spot from Redditch who were held at home by Leamington.
Slough Town 1-0 Chippenham Town
SOUTH1C
Aylesbury 3-1 Beaconsfield SYCOB
Egham Town
4-1 Petersfield Town
Godalming Town 0-3 Chalfont St Peter
Hanwell Town 0-0 Fleet Town
- 'Sarnies' (Egham) are right in the play-off mix with Chalfont St Peter still having an outside chance of breaking in - together with Aylesbury FC, who'd need to win their games in hand. Only three points separate the top four, so the title is up for grabs too - Kings Langley (nr Hemel) currently sit on top - though Royston Town (from N Herts between Stevenage and Cambridge) look best placed to overhaul them. Long-term leaders and 'phoenix club', AFC Rushden & Diamonds, occupy the final PO spot in 5th and are in serious danger of missing out altogether. Understandably their crowds are on average double that of the next best supported club in this section. I would expect them to take possession of Nene Park should they continue to climb the Pyramid. Currently 'lodge' at Wellingborough FC.

SOUTH1S&W
AFC Totton 0-1 Burnham -very rare away success for the Blues – still 5 points adrift of Wantage and games are running out – they only have 4 left now.
Bashley 2-5 Marlow - hat-trick for Mealing; Bash are 14 goals short of conceding 200 for the season but only have three matches left; the two away at Tiverton and North Leigh, may well take them some way towards that total but their remaining home game is vs Burnham and represents their best chance of ending the season with one win.

Didcot Town 0-1 Banbury United
Wantage Town 0-0 Wimborne Town
Winchester City 0-0 North Leigh
Play-Off spots here look pretty much settled - only Evesham in 6th place have a realistic mathematical chance of dislodging anyone- though Shortwood some way further back do have 7 games left to play. Winchester, Taunton and Supermarine currently occupy 3rd - 5th; above them are Cinderford (2nd) and Banbury (1st) - the 'Puritans' only have 3 games left to the Foresters' 6 and they are only 1 point in arrears.

CCLP
AFC Hayes 3-1 Redhill
Badshot Lea 0-1 Bedfont Sports
Chertsey Town 1-4 Camberley Town
- youngest and I popped along to this: Chertsey more than matched their visitors first half but Camberley upped the pace and power and were out of sight around the hour mark. No 9. Coles with a 6 minute hat-trick. I like Alwyns Lane - is a bit rusty and ramshackle but has the traditional NL scruffy stadium appeal - situated right in the town centre within a maze of back-streets.

Colliers Wood United 2-2 Farnham Town
Cove 1-0 Sutton Common Rovers – only Cove’s third win of the season
Guildford City 1-5 Epsom & Ewell
Horley Town 3-2 Ashford Town (Middx) ‘Ashtrees’ stumble here could let in E&E or Camberley – with the latter perhaps better placed to ‘nick’ runners-up spot and a possible promotion place – as they have 9 league games still to play and are 6 points adrift. Ashford and Epsom have 6 remaining games each, so still a long way to go

Raynes Park Vale 0-1 Knaphill
Westfield 4-0 Hanworth Villa
Windsor 0-3 Hartley Wintney
CCL1
Abbey Rangers 3-1 Ash United
Bedfont & Feltham 2-1 Sheerwater
Dorking Wanderers Res 1-3 Staines Lammas
Epsom Athletic 1-0 Dorking
Eversley & California 2-2 CB Hounslow United
Farleigh Rovers 2-0 Frimley Green
Sandhurst Town 1-1 South Park Res
Worcester Park 1-2 Banstead Athletic

HELLP
Highworth Town 1-1 Milton United
Kidlington 3-0 Bracknell Town - two more wins for Kiddy to be confirmed champions and their next game on Tuesday is at home to bottom club Wok & Emm – that’s if Thatcham or Flackwell don’t slip up in their remaining fixtures.
Should the unlikely occur on Tuesday, Kiddy can still put Flackwell out of the picture themselves with any positive result at Wilks Park next Saturday. Kiddy have won 12 straight games since a surprise defeat at Palmer Park back in January.
Interestingly both ‘chasers’ have matches away at much improving Brimscomb and Thatcham also meet Bracknell next Saturday. They host strugglers Tuffley in midweek.

Lydney Town 2-1 Brackley Town
Oxford City Nomads 0-3 Brimscombe & Thrupp
Royal Wootton Bassett 0-1 Thatcham Town
Tuffley Rovers 0-2 Highmoor-Ibis - H/I welcome Binfield to 'Stade de Moor' on Monday evening
HELL1E
Chinnor 2-2 Chalfont Wasps
Henley Town 1-3 Penn & Tylers Gn - not the result the 'Red Kites' would have wanted; their hopes of promotion are fading somewhat now but they do have a chance to improve with a home game tomorrow evening (Mon 4th) at home to Chalfont Wasps. They have 4 games left to overhaul Headington Amateurs in 3rd who are four points above Henley having finished their league program. Even if they do that Penn & Tylers in 2nd are probably out of reach - however 3rd spot may yet prove OK for promotion since Mill Lane is ok for grading whereas neither Penn nor Headington can go up w/o considering groundhare agreements. It's possibly a bit late for that now - though I thought I'd read somewhere that Head Ams might be trying to move in with Oxford City and Nomads - might get a bit cramped?
Henley are putting in extra seating to make sure they pass muster for STEP05 - should they qualify.

Holyport 0-1 Headington Amateurs
Rayners Lane 0-0 Old Woodstock Town
Woodley United 2-1 Finchampstead - another rarity here - a win for Woodley who have had a wretched inaugural season as 'United'.
HELL1W
Letcombe 0-2 Fairford Town
Challenge Q-F
Flackwell Heath 3-0 Binfield

WESSP
Blackfield & Langley 0-0 Andover Town
Whitchurch United
1-3 Bemerton Heath Harlequins
WESS1
Andover New Street 1-1 Alton Town
Fleet Spurs
4-2 Tadley Calleva - big set-back for Tadley’s late efforts to break into the top group and perhaps grab a late promotion slot.
Portland United 1-0 Pewsey Vale

...just a quick tick-over/round-up of this weeks games, affecting local clubs:

NATIONAL
National:
The Sh!ts lost by the odd goal in 7 at the Rec vs Grimsby - crowd close to 1,400 - led 2-0 trailed 2-3 levelled only to lose it ion 88'
South:
Mon - Wealdstone drew a blank with Hemel.
Tue - good win for 'Magpies' 3-0 at York Rd vs Whitehawk particularly with Dartford losing at 4th placed Truro, together with Hemel's dropped points, leaves Maidenhead in 5th spot.
Sadly Basingstoke look doomed now after a 2-1 defeat at fellow strugglers W-S-M. HandY weren't in action but are still in the bottom three with StAlebuns in 2nd bottom place.
In the clash of 2nd v 3rd behind current leaders Ebbsfleet, Sutton Utd's impressive 2-1 win at Maidstone sees them leapfrog the 'stones (or should that be skip over  ) and get within reach of top spot - they have 2 games in hand and are 2 points behind. Tuesday's win all the more remarkable as they played the last hour of the game with 10 men.
North:
Brackley didn't play but benefited from Lowestoft's heavy 4-0 defeat at Harrogate. The 'Saints' are just outside the drop-zone but only above the 'Trawlerboys' on GD. There are a cluster of about half-a-doz clubs just above them separated by only 1 point - a win at Gloucester this w/e would go some way to easing their relegation worries.

SOUTHERN
Premier:
- wins for Weymuff and Poole livens up the play-off positions - with the Dolphins' extending their lead to 6 points at the top above a faltering Redditch, who were held at home 0-0 by Dunstable on Monday evening. Chesham got a point at Frome.
Bideford are at last off the bottom with an away win at Biggleswade Town - they are replaced by Paulton but neither club has much hope of getting out of the bottom four as the games run out.
One Central:
- new leaders in this very tight section are Egham. The 'Sarnies' comfortably beat previously 2nd placed Royston 3-1 whilst former leaders Kings Langley were held 0-0 at much improved Fleet Town. There were wins for Godalming and Chalfont St P. and another surprise reverse for AFC R&D who hang on to the last Play-Off spot on GD.
One South & West:
- not many games in this section this week but significantly Supermarine won at Bps Cleeve to go 4th and hop over Winchester City who grabbed a point away at 2nd placed Cinderford Town. That result also leaves Banbury in top spot on GD but the 'Foresters' still have 2 games in hand. Tiverton bt Taunton 1-0 to stay 3rd. Only Evesham can threaten to join the play-off melee - they are however on a run of 9 straight wins so none of the above can afford to ease up.

Combined Counties
Premier:

Camberley edged out Redhill 2-1 at Krooner - bottom placed Cove lost at home 1-2 to Chertsey and Westfield got a 2-2 draw at AFC Hayes. Baggy Lea and Knaphill both drew at home with CWU & C&H respectively whilst RPV bt Bedfont Sports 1-0.
Farnham won 4-0 away at Wessex strugglers Alresford, in the Aldersh!t Senior Cup semi-final; they will meet Fleet Town or Camberley at the Rec on Wed 11th May.
There are a few games scheduled for tonight but the weather may well intervene - the forecast was for heavier rain later this PM - although that seems to have been 'downgraded' to sunny showers - and the grounds concerned are notoriously poor in the wet : (Farnham v Knaphill, Badshot Lea v Camberley @ Ash Utd & Redhill v Chess 'n Hook)
From Div One Frimley Green went to Imber Court (Met Police FC) for the Surrey Premier Cup Final but were beaten 2-0 by Nottesborough from the Southern Amateur FA.

Hellenic
Premier:

Mon - Binfield won impressively 4-1 at Palmer Pk vs H/I
Tue - Thatcham just cling on to the rapidly disappearing Kidlington, with a 2-1 win v Tuffley; the leaders (Kiddy) edged past relegated Wok & Emm 1-0. This effectively put Flackwell Heath out of the running for top spot. The 'Heathens' could at least console themselves with a bit of silverware, as they won the B&B Senior Trophy, last night 2-0 vs 'hosts' Newport Pagnell Town. The Heathens manage Graham Malcolm will depart at the end of the season.

Flackwell host Kiddy next Tuesday - will be of some interest should Kidlington slip up away at Lydney this coming w/e. A win there would seal the title - anything less gives next Tuesday's games a lot more edge. That same evening Thatcham travel to much improved Bracknell - will be a lot of anxious 'twitter' watchers at both games.
Bracknell drew 2-2 at Highworth and Nomads by Lydney 1-0 last night (Wed)
One East:
Mon - Henley Town recovered from their set-back last w/e with a hard fought win over Chalfont Wasps 3-1.

- I toddled along to this with middle-one - she actually watched quite a lot of the game and showed a sudden interest in Footballers' earnings - found an app that counts how much Rayne Wooney is earning per second - I pointed out that not only was he already married but that she was approx 40 years too young for him! :D

Tue - 'The Red Kites' rivals at the top, Penn & Tylers won 4-0 v Finchampstead and Bicester bt Wasps 2-0 on Wednesday.

- Not quite the disaster yet for Henley, as at least their win puts them into 3rd place above Headington who have completed their fixtures. Penn & T Gn cannot be promoted but Henley would have a better case for promotion if they could get nearer to 2nd place - they both have 3 games left, including for Henley a daunting trip to Bicester (Ardley FC) this Sat but are 7 points adrift - so unlikely - especially the way Penn are playing of late and looking at their remaining opponents .

...as an aside the B&B Intermediate Final was played last Saturday at Abingdon Utd - Risborough Rangers from the SSM Div 1 triumphed 2-1 after extra time over Olney Town from the United Counties League

...and finally ...

WESSEX
Premier

- huge 7-3 win for Whitchurch Utd over Bournemouth, both the top two, Salisbury and Blackfield & Langley, won at home - they meet tonight (Thursday) at Gang Warily ground - could be a huge crowd for that.
Andover Town bt bottom club Folland Sports 3-0.
One
Tadley Calleva drew 2-2 at Christchurch whilst much improved Fleet Spurs racked up a 7-4 at home to Laverstock & Ford

Warfield North Stand Watched Bracknell beat Wokingham & Em 7-1 last night in some cup QF. Great stuff.

...had this on my list for last night but wasn't sure if either of my kids had already been to Larges Lane - I don't usually inflict re-visits on them 8) - though daughter willingly came to Henley again with me, on Monday of this week.
Last night Youngest was out at the Pictures with his friends so she stepped in again (was particularly keen to come out as she knew I'd planned to get food on the way home  )

The game you watched was the Quarter Final of the "The Bluefin Insurers Hellenic League Supplementary Cup" also not too affectionately know as the 'Losers Cup'
- eligibility to enter, is getting yourselves knocked out of the early rounds of the Hellenic League Challenge Cup. This year the league have also allowed the two Division Two 'first' teams to enter - pour encourage les autres - I assume - and keep them from beggaring off into the Gloucs or Wycombe Leagues respectively.
Ironically before their battering by the 'Robins' last night, the 'Sumas' had overcome BOTH of the Division Two sides Stokenchurch and Moreton Rangers to reach the QFs.
Bracknell are the only remaining Premier side in the Semi-Final line up - they will now travel to Diddy Reserves or Holyport - the winners to meet Headington Amateurs (who won on penalties last night at Milton Utd) or Fairford Town in the Final. That Semi-Final is due to be played next Thursday 14th April @ Fairford's Cinder Lane.
With Cup and League games aplenty to fit in, both Holyport and Bracknell will struggle to schedule their semi-final much before the fourth week of April.

We headed down to a very sodden *& slippery Ash Utd, to watch the CCLP clash between lodgers Baggy Lea and Camberley - finished 2-4 to the Kroonerites, who now go 2nd and into potentially a promotion slot.

Elsewhere in the CCL the game between Farnham and Knaphill was postponed and Redhill notched another very impressive win 6-0 at home to Chess 'n Hook.

In the Wessex Premier the top table clash between 2nd place Blackfield & Langley and leaders Salisbury City was won by Steve Claridge's men with a solitary 2nd half goal.
Crowd was about 300 - would probably have been about thrice that had it been staged on a Saturday but both clubs will be struggling to fulfil their league fixtures this month, so they have to fit them in when they can.

...and here's tomorrow's fixtures involving or effecting 'local' NL clubs:

Saturday 9th April

NAT
FC Halifax Town v Aldershot Town
Woking v Gateshead
NATN
Gloucester City v Brackley Town
NATS
Basingstoke Town v Weston-Super-Mare - a quick return fixture for the Dragons who went down 2-1 at W-S-M last Tuesday
Concord Rangers v Bath City
Eastbourne Borough v Hemel Hempstead Town
Ebbsfleet United v Chelmsford City
Gosport Borough v Bishop's Stortford
Havant & Waterlooville v Truro City
Maidenhead United v St Albans City - 'Magpies' welcome relegation threatened StAlebuns to York Rd - they cannot afford to drop points, as there are five clubs behind them within reach - and of these only Dartford have a particularly tough task, away at 3rd place Maidstone. Truro three points above Maidenhead are probably safe in 4th spot but only based upon their games in hand, with Stones and Sutton Utd well clear of them and vying with Ebbsfleet for the automatic promotion spot.

Maidstone United v Dartford
Margate v Sutton United
Oxford City v Hayes & Yeading Utd
Whitehawk v Wealdstone

ISTHP
Farnborough v Hampton & Richmond Borough - 'boro welcome the Beavers - who currently sit atop the Premier
Lewes v Staines Town

SOUTHP
Cambridge City v Slough Town - City currently lodging at St Ives Town - not much in it for either of these sides tomorrow - hosts probably all but safe from relegation and 'Rebels' a few points above them, in lower mid-table.
Chesham United v Kettering Town - visitors still have a chance of busting into the top five and the Play Offs
Histon v Hungerford Town ' Crusaders' will need a win here to stay within the Play-Off spots - their hosts are confirmed as bottom four and will be relegated unless there are end of season reprieves.
SOUTH1C
Beaconsfield SYCOB v St Ives Town
Chalfont St Peter v Egham Town
Fleet Town v Potters Bar Town
Royston Town v Godalming Town
SOUTH1S&W
Banbury United v AFC Totton
Bishops Cleeve v Winchester City
Burnham v Evesham United
Larkhall Athletic v Wantage Town
Marlow v Bridgwater Town
North Leigh v Cinderford Town
Tiverton Town v Bashley
Wimborne Town v Didcot Town

CCLP
Ashford Town (Middx) v Guildford City
Bedfont Sports v Colliers Wood United
Camberley Town v Raynes Park Vale - difficult to call this one - both Camberley (2nd) and Ashford (3rd) host mid-table clubs going through patchy form. Epsom & Ewell four points back in 4th have a potentially easier game at home to Baggy Lea but they pushed Camberley hard on Thursday
Chessington & Hook United v AFC Hayes
Epsom & Ewell v Badshot Lea
Farnham Town
v Chertsey Town
Hanworth Villa v Cove
Hartley Wintney
v Horley Town
Knaphill v Spelthorne Sports
Redhill v Westfield
Sutton Common Rovers v Windsor -whatever the outcome between two wildly inconsistent sides, at least Windsor will be sure of a great surface to play on, as SCR 'lodge' at Sutton Utd's Gander Green Lane's 3G.
CCL1
Ash United v Sandhurst Town
Bedfont & Feltham v Epsom Athletic
Cobham v Frimley Green
Dorking v Abbey Rangers
Eversley & California v Banstead Athletic
Sheerwater v Farleigh Rovers
South Park Res v CB Hounslow United
Worcester Park v Staines Lammas

HELLP
Abingdon United v Ardley United
Ascot United v Brackley Town Saints
Bracknell Town v Longlevens AFC
Brimscombe & Thrupp v Binfield
Highmoor-Ibis v Wokingham & Emmbrook
Lydney Town v Kidlington - Thatcham can only stand by and hope Lydney can upset Kiddy's inexorable drive to the title. If the hosts do manage to do them a favour, then the title race carries on to Tuesday night with two crucial games - 'Kingfishers' at Bracknell and Kiddy at 3rd placed Flackwell.

Thame United v Tuffley Rovers
HELL1E
Bicester Town v Henley Town - 1st v 3rd but I doubt the 'Red Kites' can make up the ground on 2nd placed Penn & T even with a win here and an unlikely reverse for Penn in their game vs struggling OWT.

Chalfont Wasps v Holyport
Penn & Tylers Green v Old Woodstock Town
Rayners Lane v Didcot Town Res
Wantage Town Res v Finchampstead

HELL1W
Easington Sports v Letcombe

WESSP
Andover Town v Fawley
Folland Sports v Alresford Town - put this one in as its bottom vs 2nd bottom - more than likely both will go down as the candidates to finish top two in Div One should have the required grading for promotion to STEP05 (see below). The Wessex league is generally tighter on any new clubs having required facilities, before allowing entry into their 2nd tier from County Leagues.
- at the other end of the table Salisbury need two wins from nine, to ensure the top spot in the Premier, such is their superior GD - they are also a little matter of 12 points clear of Blackfield whom they beat on Thursday. The Whites visit Lymington tomorrow.

Sholing v Whitchurch United
WESS1
Fleet Spurs v Andover New Street
Tadley Calleva v Pewsey Vale
- Portland United, recently returned from a sojourn away in the Dorset leagues, look favourites for champions spot in their first season back - 2nd placed Amesbury Town are most likely to follow them up - though when I visited their Bonnymead Park ground quite a few years back, the layout was very open and within a public park - so perhaps they may fall foul of the graders unless they've much improved.
Tadley or Laverstock could conceivably snatch 2nd place from them but they'd need to go on a good run in their last half-dozen games to make up the gap. Amesbury's current form does not suggest they will slip up either - though they do have games vs Portland and Tadley.

Round-up of yesterday's NL results:

Saturday 9th April

NAT
FC Halifax Town 0-2 Aldershot Town
Woking 1-1 Gateshead
- Cheltenham probably only need 1 win to clinch promotion and a quick return to the FL – such is their favourable GD. Only FGR can catch them and they dropped points at Braintree yesterday. PO spots currently held by Dover, Grimsby and Tranmere with Braintree Eastleigh and Wrexham still having a sniff.
NATN
Gloucester City 0-0 Brackley Town
- No change at the bottom with Saints and Lowestoft both drawing blanks - but at least get a point nearer the three clubs just above them; Telford, Bradford PA and Stalybridge who all lost.
NATS
Basingstoke Town 2-2 Weston-Super-Mare - Dragons led 2-0 at H/T – but dropped points probably mean they are all but down – a win for either HandY or H&W in their remaining games would confirm this - as will anything other than a win for Basingstoke at Gosport on Tuesday night.

Concord Rangers 1-2 Bath City
Eastbourne Borough 2-3 Hemel Hempstead Town
Ebbsfleet United 3-1 Chelmsford City - ‘fleet trailed to a 1st minute goal but turned it around with three goals in a 5’ spell 2nd half
Gosport Borough 0-0 Bishop's Stortford
Havant & Waterlooville PP Truro City
Maidenhead United 0-1 St Albans City - dreadful result for ‘Magpies’ who now drop out of the PO zone following Hemel’s very late win at Eastbourne – lost it with 5’ to go to relegation threatened visitors.
Maidstone United 1-2 Dartford
Margate 0-4 Sutton United - Sutton keep up the pressure on Ebbsfleet – and can actually go top with a home win on Monday night v Bps Stortford
Oxford City 2-2 Hayes & Yeading Utd
Whitehawk 3-0 Wealdstone

ISTHP
Farnborough 0-3 Hampton & Richmond Borough - Needham Market’s win at Grays Athletic, leaves ‘boro 7 points adrift – though their demotion had been sealed some time ago, with the issues over their financial Bond to stay in the Ryman.

Lewes 2-2 Staines Town

SOUTHP
Cambridge City 4-2 Slough Town - Rebels led 2-1 at H/T.
Chesham United 0-3 Kettering Town
Histon PP Hungerford Town - waterlogged pitch
- wins for Kettering and Leamington nudges ‘Crusdaders’ out of the PO places. Weymuff and Chipp’num are still within reach of the POs behind them.
- At the bottom Bideford’s great late surge – having been well adrift a few weeks back - continues with a win over Bedworth. Sadly will probably be in vain as Stratford need only 2 points from 4 games, 3 at home, to send them down.

SOUTH1C
Beaconsfield SYCOB 1-1 St Ives Town
Chalfont St Peter 0-1 Egham Town - ‘Sarnies’ stay top on GD from Kings Langley. Both clubs have 3 games to play and are BOTH scheduled to host Fleet Town in their next games: Egham this coming Tuesday. On the face of it after the Fleet games, KL have the easier remaining pair of fixtures, with Egham up against AFC Rushden & D (5th) and Royston (3rd) whereas their rivals go to relegated North Greenford and travel to mid-table Petersfield.

Fleet Town 0-1 Potters Bar Town
Royston Town 0-1 Godalming Town
SOUTH1S&W
Banbury United 3-0 AFC Totton
Bishops Cleeve 1-1 Winchester City
Burnham 0-5 Evesham United
Larkhall Athletic 4-0 Wantage Town
Marlow 3-1 Bridgwater Town
North Leigh 0-0 Cinderford Town - dropped points for the ‘Foresters’ vs 10 man Nor Lye, is Banbury’s gain - they stay top by 2 points though have played 2 games more. Supermarine and Taunton (99’ winner at Shortwood) make up some ground too. City might be glancing nervously behind them at Evesham who are catching them at some pace.

Tiverton Town {NINE} 9-0 Bashley - ‘Bash’ sliding rapidly towards that unwanted 200 goals against, only 5 to go in their remaining two matches – though their NEXT one is H v fellow strugglers Burnham – more than likely they’ll stave off the inevitable only to ship a dozen or more at North Leigh the week after!!

Wimborne Town 1-1 Didcot Town

CCLP
Ashford Town (Middx) 4-1 Guildford City - ‘Ashtrees’ clamber above Camberley on Goals Scored but have played a game more.
Bedfont Sports 5-0 Colliers Wood United
Camberley Town 3-1 Raynes Park Vale
Chessington & Hook United 2-1 AFC Hayes
Epsom & Ewell 4-1 Badshot Lea - E&E in 4th hoping the two above them falter but are still 4 points adrift with 5 to play.
Farnham Town 1-3 Chertsey Town
Hanworth Villa 2-1 Cove
Hartley Wintney
2-2 Horley Town
Knaphill 6-1 Spelthorne Sports
Redhill 1-1 Westfield
Sutton Common Rovers 1-1 Windsor
- Not sure about ups/downs with CCL Div One this season – and it’s often tied in with STEP04 clubs dropping down being from the right catchment area - but much like last season there are at least half a doz. clubs in danger of filling the 4th and possibly last, relegation slot.
- Cove, Redhill and Chess ‘n Hook are marooned in the bottom three. It’s very unlikely that four will come up but four may be pushed down, unless there is a reprieve for Walton & Hersham, who ARE the only likely candidates for relegation to the CCL. There was however a slight ‘unknown’ concerning Farnborough, who were said to be dropping down two Steps due to their ongoing financial misdemeanours..

CCL1
Ash United 2-2 Sandhurst Town
Bedfont & Feltham {SEVEN} 7-0 Epsom Athletic
Cobham 3-2 Frimley Green
Dorking 1-2 Abbey Rangers
Eversley & California 2-0 Banstead Athletic
Sheerwater 4-3 Farleigh Rovers
South Park Res PP CB Hounslow United
Worcester Park 1-2 Staines Lammas

HELLP
Abingdon United 0-3 Ardley United
Ascot United 4-1 Brackley Town Saints
Bracknell Town 0-1 Longlevens AFC - Robins reportedly looking 'leggy'; three 1st half injuries didn’t help but Tuffley’s defeat at Thame probably condemns them to the drop and confirms Bracknell's safety. Milton Utd, Abingdon Utd and Wokkers confirmed in the bottom four.
Brimscombe & Thrupp 5-1 Binfield - their website states a very poor 2nd half performance which leaves them well short of what was required to attempt a top 5 finish. Travel to ‘Yellamen’ tomorrow (Monday) night.
Highmoor-Ibis 0-0 Wokingham & Emmbrook
Lydney Town 1-2 Kidlington - ‘Kiddy’ crowned champions – extend winning league run to 14 straight games – now left to Thatcham and Flackwell to battle for Runner-Up spot – both have two games left but Kingfishers hold a 4 point advantage.
Thame United 1-0 Tuffley Rovers
HELL1E
Bicester Town PP Henley Town - quickly rescheduled for Monday 18th April
Chalfont Wasps 1-5 Holyport
Penn & Tylers Green 4-0 Old Woodstock Town - P&TG take over top spot from Bicester
Rayners Lane 2-0 Didcot Town Res
Wantage Town Res 0-3 Finchampstead
HELL1W
Easington Sports 2-2 Letcombe

WESSP
Andover Town 4-1 Fawley
Folland Sports 2-2 Alresford Town
Lymington Town 1-2 Salisbury – ‘Whites’ now 3 points from title with 8 games to get them – they sit 15 points clear of B&L who have 6 games left themselves, ALL away from home.
Sholing 2-1 Whitchurch United
WESS1
Fleet Spurs {EIGHT} 8-0 Andover New Street
Tadley Calleva {NINE} 9-0 Pewsey Vale - the carnage may continue this Tuesday, when ANS travel to Tadley
– the ‘Tadders’ currently in 5th, may have a realistic chance of seizing a 3rd place finish, as they have games in hand on Laverstock and US Portsmouth. They also welcome Southern League Fleet Town to Barlows Park on this Thursday night for a Cup semi-final (North Hants FA) – the winners will meet Whitchurch Utd in the Final probably early May date and venue tba.

Bracknell 1- 1 Thatcham Town.

Great result for Bracknell who were resting a few 1st teamers for the cup. Thatcham fielded a full strength team as they go for 2nd.
Brilliant game. End to end with a bit of handbags thrown in. Completely forgot Reading were playing till HT. I know which team I am enjoying watching more at the moment....

Interesting read on ticket prices in non league and how the 'twentys plenty' attitude could damage non league http://www.theguardian.com/football/in- ... ague-clubs

Personally, even as as someone who's had a non league season ticket at a lower nl level, breaking the £10 barrier for non league feels a rip off.

CCLP
AFC Hayes v Sutton Common Rovers
Badshot Lea v Knaphill
Chertsey Town
v Hartley Wintney
Cove
v Colliers Wood United
Epsom & Ewell v Camberley Town - bit of a crunch tie here with E&E only 1 point behind after a 7-0 win at AFC Hayes in midweek - though they have played two more than their visitors tomorrow. Camberley were given a boost with a comfortable 3-0 win in the Premier League Cup at their other rivals for 2nd spot, Ashford Town

Guildford City v Chessington & Hook United
Horley Town v Farnham Town
Raynes Park Vale v Hanworth Villa
Spelthorne Sports v Redhill
Westfield v Bedfont Sports
Windsor v Ashford Town (Middx)
CCL1
Abbey Rangers v Worcester Park

Dorking Wanderers Res v Ash United
Epsom Athletic v Eversley & California - been switched to Frimley Green
Sandhurst Town v Farleigh Rovers
Staines Lammas v Cobham

HELLP
Binfield v Longlevens AFC - 'Moles' season fizzling out somewhat, lost 0-1 at Ascot last Monday and went down by the same score at Ardley on Thursday. Have a Reading Senior Cup Q-F at Stubbs this Monday evening vs 'Sumas' - that could pull a good crowd - winners go to Highmoor/IBIS in the Semi. Would expect Wokingham's grip on this Cup could be loosened - I think they've won it for three years running. Survivors in the other half of the draw are Bracknell, who play Henley in the Q-F next Wed (20th) and Westwood Utd. Final at The MadStad in early May.

Bracknell Town v Milton Utd
Brimscombe & Thrupp v Flackwell Heath
Highworth Town v Ardley United
Kidlington v Tuffley Rovers - visitors playing 2 games within 18 hours - they lost 1-2 at Nomads tonight (Friday) -just as well the title was settled last weekend in Kiddy's favour. They rounded off with a comfortable 3-0 win at 3rd Place Flackwell on Tuesday. The Heathens still have 2 Cup Finals to look forward to - and have already lifted the B&B Trophy. Progressed to the Challenge Cup Final on Thursday with a win over Thame 3-3 aet at the ASM Stadium - w 4-2 on pens. Now play Brackley Saints in the Final at Thatcham. Fairly certain they are still in the latter rounds of the Wycombe Senior Cup too - Final of that gets played at Adams Park sometime in May.

Wokingham & Emmbrook v Lydney Town
HELL1W
Bicester Town v Didcot Town Res'
Chalfont Wasps v Wantage Town Res'

Chinnor v Henley Town
Finchampstead v Penn & Tylers Green
Old Woodstock Town v Holyport - Woodley Utd clawed themselves level at the bottom with OWT, by beating them 3-2 at Scours on Thursday evening. OWT still have this game to play and will finish above Woodley on GD unless they lose by more than 2 goals or 0-2/1-3

WESSP
Lymington Town v Andover Town
Whitchurch United v Newport (IoW)
- Salisbury confirmed as Champions on Thursday night with a straightforward 3-0 win over Horndean - who'd switched their home match to the Ray Mac to enable a bigger turn-out - crowd just under 800.

WESS1
Fleet Spurs v Amesbury Town
New Milton Town v Pewsey Vale
Tadley Calleva v East Cowes Victoria - - watched the 'Tadders' dispose of lowly New Street, 4-0 on Tuesday evening - they hit 9 last Saturday v Pewsey and now host bottom club Vics. Their front line is most impressive and they can get goals from everywhere along it, big lad Tennant & Denham are particularly noteworthy but the two support strikers (Hamilton & Powell) were also on fire on Tuesday. ANS kept them at bay for almost 70' but folded once the first went in. Probably hoping Spurs above, can do them a favour and upset Amesbury - though 2nd place is probably just out of reach now. They did progress to the Final of the North Hants FA Cup on Thursday edging Southern League Fleet Town 1-0 . They'll play Whitchurch Utd in the Final at the Camrose on Thursday 5th May.

Berks Trophy Center S-F
Reading YMCA v AFC Aldermaston @ Reading Town

...got a chance of a rare upper Pyramid 'new tick' tomorrow - Mate fed up with his job has decided to take the whole day off - they do usually give him Sat PMs off for RFC matches - and has phoned up and asked to get out somewhere.
On the radar either Redditch or Evesham in the Southern. Think he'd probably prefer somewhere round the Essex end of the M25 but I'll pull driver's privilege and insist we head north or west rather than sit in the Orbital Car Pound.

NL scores from yesterday

Saturday 16th April

NAT
Aldershot Town 1-2 Boreham Wood
Forest Green Rovers 1-2 Woking - Cheltenham’s 2-0 win over Halifax secures them promotion; together with this surprise reverse for FGR.
- Rovers now in the mix for the Play Offs with Dover and two from Grimsby, Braintree, Eastleigh or Tranmere – Wrexham might be just in range too but it would take an unusual set of scores for them to feature.
Grimsby come to Kingfield on Tuesday evening, whilst next w/e, Eastleigh host Tranmere & Braintree go to Wrexham.

NATN
Brackley Town 1-1 Chorley - Saints hover still just outside the drop zone – Lowestoft below them only on GD, drew at Gainsborough but also have a game in hand
NATS
Bath City 1-0 Eastbourne Borough
Bishop's Stortford 4-1 Margate
Chelmsford City 6-1 Gosport Borough
Dartford 0-0 Basingstoke Town
Hayes & Yeading Utd 2-2 Concord Rangers
Hemel Hempstead Town 3-1 Oxford City
St Albans City {SIX} 6-0 Havant & Waterlooville
Sutton United 2-0 Ebbsfleet United - Sutton go top with a game in hand and superior GD over Ebbsfleet – who – with only one game left - look as if they’ll now have the lottery of the POs after leading the league for so long. They’ll be in with Maidstone and any two from a cluster of about half a doz. clubs vying for 4th & 5th place - including Maidenhead.

Truro City 1-3 Maidstone United
Wealdstone 0-0 Maidenhead United
Weston-Super-Mare 1-2 Whitehawk

SOUTHP
Hungerford Town 4-0 Frome Town
Slough Town 2-0 King's Lynn Town
St Neots Town PP Chesham United
Weymouth 3-0 Merthyr Town
- Poole are champions but nothing much else settled, what with some irritating postponements at the upper end of the table – meaning Redditch and Kettering were inactive. ‘Crusaders’ probably now safely in the PO spots with Hitchin and Leamington but any one of four below Hungerford, can still grab the last place. Indeed they have a game in hand and could conceivably pinch runners-up spot – have two games left both away, at relegated Histon and other PO hopefuls Leamington – which should ensure a big crowd there on the final Saturday (23rd).

SOUTH1C
Aylesbury United PP Beaconsfield SYCOB
Bedford Town 4-0 Chalfont St Peter - Chalfont miss out on the POs
Egham Town PP AFC Rushden & Diamonds - rapidly re-arranged for this Tuesday night 19th
Godalming Town 2-1 Northwood
Hanwell Town PP Uxbridge
Kings Langley 2-0 Fleet Town - hosts back on top 2 points clear of Egham – both clubs have 2 games left.
SOUTH1S&W
Bashley 0-2 Burnham - 'Blues' would need to win both remaining games at home to Diddy and Bridgwater to overhaul Wantage – there has been some talk that they (Burnham) have formally requested a drop down anyway – or at least given advance notice they will NOT take up any reprieve if offered.

Didcot Town 1-2 Tiverton Town
Evesham United 1-0 North Leigh
- Got to this: ‘new tick’ - pleasant trip across to and up the M5 – new build ground on the southern outskirts of town. Very low key affair, hosts won it comfortably – one very late scare when Nor Lye hit the inside of the post in 2nd half injury time but had shown nothing coming forward to that point.
- Winchester’s dropped points at home to the 'Larks' still gives Evesham some faint hope of pinching the last PO spot, if they can win at Marlow next w/e but would need City to lose both their remaining games at Slimbridge and Shortwood for them to miss out.

Taunton Town 3-0 Marlow
Wantage Town {SEVEN} 7-1 Bishops Cleeve - 'Freds' all but safe now, with this remarkable end of season discovery of form. By some accounts the players were told before hand – play up or bugger off for next season!
– they even fell behind in the 8th minute. 5 goals for Sam Collier (listed as Centre-Back and Assistant Manager?)

Winchester City 1-1 Larkhall Athletic

CCLP
AFC Hayes PP Sutton Common Rovers
Badshot Lea PP Knaphill

Chertsey Town 1-0 Hartley Wintney
Cove PP Colliers Wood United
Epsom & Ewell 2-3 Camberley Town
Guildford City
3-2 Chessington & Hook United
Horley Town 1-1 Farnham Town
Raynes Park Vale 1-2 Hanworth Villa
Spelthorne Sports 0-2 Redhill
Westfield PP Bedfont Sports
Windsor 1-2 Ashford Town (Middx)
- Ashtrees and Camberley still locked level on points as both register impressive away wins – Camberley sit in 3rd but are only behind on goals scored. They play their game in hand on Tuesday at Raynes Park Vale. They also have a Cup tie at Farnham on Thursday evening – so stamina may well be an issue in the run in.

CCL1
Abbey Rangers 1-0 Worcester Park
Banstead Athletic PP Sheerwater
Bedfont & Feltham 3-0 Frimley Green
Dorking Wanderers Res PP Ash United
Epsom Athletic 1-2 Eversley & California
Sandhurst Town PP Farleigh Rovers
Staines Lammas 0-1 Cobham
- New leaders in Div One and new to the CCL this season are Abbey Rangers – they only have one game left though – but long time pace-setters CB Hounslow have 3 games in hand and will want to progress before the move to their new facility nearer Osterley – back where they used to play. They currently groundshare at Bedfont & Feltham who also may grab a promotion slot themselves ahead of the ‘Boars’ from Eversley.
- Last seasons’ divisional winners Farleigh, currently sit rooted to the bottom of the league but only on GD from Epsom Athletic, who are touting around for nearby suitable midweek venues, to play their remaining three (of five remaining) home games. It looks as if they are using Cobham this week, having borrowed Frimley Green yesterday. Their 'landlords' Chessington & Hook, in the Premier have seven games left in their schedule (six at home) - which they are being expected to complete in the next 15 days! They have started to switch venues ith their opponents - backfired spectacularly last midweek where C&H went down 1-8 at 'home' to Horley @ Horley's New Defence ground.
Little wonder the 'lodgers' are trying to play elsewhere.
- Farleigh similarly have 5 matches left as do Dorking Wanderers Reserves - and neither of those grounds are particularly great in the prevailing wet conditions either, so this division could well be extending into mid-May or scratching a number of games.

HELLP
Binfield 4-2 Longlevens AFC
Bracknell Town 5-1 Milton United
Brimscombe & Thrupp 5-2 Flackwell Heath
Highworth Town 0-2 Ardley United
Kidlington 3-3 Tuffley Rovers - Kiddy astonishing consecutive winning sequence comes to an end at fifteen - Tuffley probably down anyway if four are relegated.
Wokingham & Emmbrook 1-2 Lydney Town
HELL1E
Bicester Town PP Didcot Town Res' rescheduled for Wed 20th April
Chalfont Wasps 4-4 Wantage Town Res'
Chinnor PP Henley Town also now this Wed 20th
Finchampstead 0-2 Penn & Tylers Green - P&TG clinch top spot
Old Woodstock Town 3-1 Holyport - OWT pull clear to leave Woodley rooted to last place
WESSP
Lymington Town 0-3 Andover Town
Whitchurch United 0-1 Newport (IoW)
WESS1
Fleet Spurs 0-2 Amesbury Town
New Milton Town 3-0 Pewsey Vale
Tadley Calleva PP East Cowes Victoriaapparently now re-scheduled for Sat 7th May. Cannot be easy to re-arrange a midweek slot, with Tadley still in a Cup competition – three other home fixtures to fit in and ferries to arrange for Vics.

Berks Trophy Center S-F
Reading YMCA PP AFC Aldermaston @ Reading Town

Interesting times for Basingstoke as they've also announced a partnership with QPR as well, something I've always thought Reading should've looked to set up with them as a decent level team right in our catchment area.

It sounds like they're concentrating on developing youth for the foreseeable future.
