Well quite a few twists etc on the last regular day for some of our local sides:-

CONF National
All happens today: P@xford need to beat relegated Northwich and hope neither Kiddy nor the Gulls win at home - then they'll be in the Play Offs either vs Camb U or Burton.
At the bottom I think Woking and Weymouth are relegated as well as Lewes who may drop further down the pyramid - money trouble ?

CONF South
Magpies succumbed 0-3 at home to the Beavers
Basingstoke ground out another point, away at Worcester nearly went to this one glad I didn't - had a look at the respective teams' form and had the proverbial 0-0 written all .... etc etc

Play Offs - semi 1st Legs this midweek (28th?) 2nd Legs next Saturday; Finals Thu week at the home of the highest placed 'survivor'.
Hayes & Yeading v Eastleigh
Chelmsford v Hampton & Richmond

Relegated:- Bognor & Fisher - 'Furrock' probably reprieved by the demise of Team Baah and some CONF North Team who are being demoted by Ground Grading - think it might be Kings Lynn whose presence in the CONF North is a bit of a joke anyhow - all looks a bit 'convenient'??

SOUTHERN PREMIER
Farnboro won yesterday but so did Corby - so its the Play Offs for long-term leaders 'boro.
Play Offs
Format for this STEP (and the one below) slightly different - one leg only home advantage to the higher placed sides (2nd & 3rd) - same for the final
Farnborough v Hemel Hempstead
Gloucester City v Cambridge City

Final Sat 2nd May

Relegated : Banbury and (probably) 3 others

SOUTHERN ONE Midland
Chesham scrape into last play off place.

SOUTHERN ONE S.West
Windsor & Eton surprisingly whupped 2-4 at home by Winchester City
Burnham lost 0-3 @ Taunton
Totton lost at Abingdon U
.. this means poor ol' Bracknell ARE relegated  - I went to see them capitulate 2-3 @ Cinderford - were 2-1 up and bossing the game but tailed off badly.
However strange news upon my return - looked up the other results to see Winchester have been deducted points meaning Taunton - bottom at the start of play are the unlikely survivors.
'Diddy' end their season in Play Off spot with a splendid 4-2 win at Champions Truro in front of over 700 - bet that curdled their 'Zoider' - if that's possible?

Play Offs
Windsor & E v Didcot
AFC Totton v Beaconsfield

Final Sat 2nd May

Isthmian Prem: Dover are Champs by a mile - Staines Sutton Carshalton & Tonbridge contest the POs
Relegated : incl Margit & Ramsgit!
Isthmian One South: Kingstonian champions - Play Offs include Fleet Town

STEP05 & 06 both the Spartan South Midlands & Hellenic championships were won on the last day on Goal Difference ! :?
Hellenic Prem
Hungerford drew 1-1 at Hook Norton , Shortwood won 4-1 vs Chalfont Wasps - Hungerford better GD by 11
... elsewhere here Reading Town went down 2-4 @ the Almonds
Hellenic One East
1st vs 2nd on the last Saturday set of fixtures Binfield bt Ascot in front of nearly 400 - bet parking was a challenge!
Anyone actually wishing to see The Moles in action, they have two more games this m/w : Monday @ Finchampstead and Thursday @ Newbury 8) ... both 18:30 KOs.
Wokkers won 5-3 at home but only finish 4th - lost out to Newbury who didn't have a game this w/e having played Sat/Tue/Thu last week.

South Mids - was three way race up to yesterday - Chalfont St Peter had played a ludicrous number of catch up games - 'reward' for getting as far as the vase semi-final - but in the end ran out of gas - held 0-0 on Thursday by the bottom club then lost 3-2 @ Biggleswade Town yesterday who themselves pip another long-term league leader Harefield to the title by ONE Goal!!

... and finally - if anyone is till awake .... Poole Town with an incredible playing record up to Thursday of P40 W38 D2 - and having beaten bottom club Horndean 10-0 on Tuesday, have lost their last two league games of the season 1-5 at home by Wimborne and yesterday 0-3 @ Brockenhurst - probably dispirited about their refused application for promotion .

Not much of a surprise to those of us who have been watching W&E in the last few weeks - they are playing poorly and although they have home advantage in the play offs it would be a pleasant surprise to see them get through and achieve the promotion their mid-season form seemed likely to justify.

Winchester looked a decent side yesterday although I understand they have a number of new-ish faces (signed from Dorchester?) who may have helped turn in a performance. The 3 point deduction must have been a kick in the wotsits - they seemed happy in their celebrations during and after the game to suggest they were not aware of the impending deduction...

Anyway, I think W&E generally do well against Didcot but although I shall be there on Tuesday I cannot say I am optimistic.

... just noticed another post on the NL Forum re Winchester and their possible three point deduction - which they are set to appeal -

- as it stands if they are unsuccessful BOTH Taunton AND Bracknell will be reprieved from Relegation since there aren't enough eligible STEP05 clubs stepping up to STEP04 - only 11 from 14 divisions.

This also effects (or is it affects?) Chipstead in the Isthmian One South who don't go down 'cos there aren't enough teams coming up.

I expect there'll be a few more drop-outs, resignations and demotions before the start of next season too. :?

They'll be dancing on the streets of the M4 if Histon knock Torquay out. Oh sorry, that's Heston isn't it.

AP, if you lose to a village pub team over 2 legs then fold the club 8)

Well they have done alright for a village team! That's what's written on one of the stands actually. But we battered them 4-1 at Plainmoor and drew away to a last min equaliser on the opening day. Must say of the teams in the playoffs it's probably the best draw for us, but any team in the playoffs is going to be tough.

But yep fold it all up if they do yep. 8)

Windsor & Eton lost 2-0 at home to Didcot tonight so are out of the play offs. Good atmosphere, good game, better team won.

B&B Final on Monday to look forward to now!

BEAVERS

A stunning 3-1 away victory against Chelmsford should hopefully see them into the final and a great chance of Conference football as the final would be at the Beveree, 2 from Yaku and Hodgey got the third, although the daft twat then got himself sent off, they will probably play Eastleigh who won 4-2 away to Hayes.
