Dont need to be fully fit to pass a medical. Its medical history, bone/muscle scans, heart checks etc

People pass medicals while injured all the time (see Jonathan Woodgate)

Do you know what he failed on?

It sounds like a get out clause from Monaco if you ask me, not wanting to pay him what they promised him before he got injured....

Probably one specific type of test is the reason for the failure

Expect the Liverpool fans to have a damascus conversion over what a nasty little shit he is...

If that is the amount Liverpool get then it is a seriously good deal for them.

Damn right it is.

You'd have thought there'd be a clause or 2 in there somewhere though.

Liverpool set to seal deals for Origi and Markovic early this week. Bid of £20m for Lovren rejected, but the defender says his 'head is at Liverpool'.

Yes, the head is a start (needed to be a good centre back) and hopefully the body will follow.

I do hate agreeing with you but you're right with this one.

The only thing they have in their favour is that Rodger's seems very much in charge of the signings - i dont think AVB ever really was for Spurs.

On paper the only signing that looked weird/over-priced was Soldado. Lamela looked the real deal at Roma, Paulinho has proven a good signing, Eriksen was excellent in parts.

Liverpool can't replace Suarez, that's impossible - and Lambert and Origi doesn't even get close, but the sum of the rest might prove a good summer transfer window if Rodgers can get them to gel in Liverpool's very fluid system (which is very different to Spurs').

Time will tell - very different campaign ahead for Liverpool with CL football to contend with.
