Arch
exileinleeds ...and Avram Grant "considering" his position. Deals being done without him being informed.

So that's neither Avram nor Storrie being informed. Who's doing the deals? Al Faraj himself?

Al Faraj's advisor claims not to know anything either.

Still LOLing at Storrie claiming to know nothing about deals involving Harry Redknapp. Probably practicing for the upcoming legal battle.

But Harry doesn't get involved in transfers.

If a miracle did happen and Pompey were wound up there'd be a good chance that only 2 would be relegated to the 3rd Division and we could have an improved chance of staying up.....

Wouldn't they just relegate 2 instead of 3 from the Prem?

Yes, but that would leave an empty space in the Championship too, so there would be one fewer relegation spots (and so on down the leagues).

Indeed, we want our DEBT repaid from finishing 2nd in 95.

T.R.O.L.I.
After last night, they are in 21st.

Also, the administrator rang Warnock yesterday afternoon and instructed him not to play Victor Moses as he (the administrator) didn't want the Creditor's most prized asset possibly getting injured. The interview the man gave with SSN this morning was priceless...

"When I informed Mr Warnock of my decision he made his feelings that he was upset with the decision very clear, but agreed that it was my call to make"

:D :D :D

I wonder JUST how many swear words Colin used in that phone conversation!!!!!

Also, Palace only had 3 subs last night.

You still don't like him do you, Mr A?

Having said that, it brings back good memories of your call to 606 after the Sheff Utd game in the first season of the Premiership

"Mr Warnock - I think it's time that you seriously considered your position" - cue Alan Green almost having a heart attack

When I was up with BBCRB for the Liverpool league game (the 3-1), Alan Green went past me and i was going to have a word, but felt that, as a guest of BBCRB it wasn't the time or the place.

The fact that BOTH Jordan (who got rid of Sir Steve Coppell as he didn't think Steve was a "proper" football manager) and Colin are involved in the Palace debacle is simpy delicious.

Just thought I would throw this out there from the "O'Dea on his time at Reading" thread:
On High
Tinrib More than half of Championship clubs are technically insolvent, according to business information provider Equifax. Plymouth are the healthiest:
(Clubs graded A to F – with D an average financial health score, or I for insolvent

Clubs currently technically insolvent in the Championship :-

Barnsley 39 I
Ipswich 26 I
Nttm Forest 13 I
Newcastle 11 I
Bristol City 10 I
Leicester 9 I
Preston 8 F
Doncaster 8 I
Cardiff 4 I
Peterborough 4 I
Sheff Wed 2 I
Swansea 2 I
Crystal Palace 2 I
Coventry 2 I
Middlesbrough 0 I
Blackpool 0 I

Clubs as near as damn it to being insolvent
QPR 16 F+
Sheff Utd 30 E+
Preston 8 F

Clubs solvent
Plymouth 85 A
West Brom 83 A-
Derby 61 C+
Reading 54 C-
Scunthorpe 52 C-
Watford 42 D

What do the numbers mean?

The table comes from this January 9, 2010 press release:
http://www.equifax.co.uk/About-us/Press ... CLUBS.html

The numbers quantify the credit risk factors based on:
1) Accounts Data
2) Age of Accounts
3) Trading Stability
4) Profitability
5) Working Capital
6) Gearing
7) Legal and Court Information

I'm a little surprised to see Reading so low. I would expect the club to be the best run in the Championship. Well, 4th best isn't too bad.

Eagerly awaiting the Equifax report on Premierhip clubs.

I suspect we've been hit quite hard by our errors from the Premier League years - specifically having a large squad of mediocre players on fair Premier League wages. Even getting rid of our big names, a lot of the mediocre also rans from then are still at the club and probably fairly well paid for the Championship.

If we can stay up I'd expect us to recover to a better score in the next year or so.

why do people think we are low? just coz we had 2 years in the "promised land"?

we make a loss in the championship, why would our score recover if we stay up

west rom look good but they came down last season. we'll see what happens if they don't go up

any football club with a D or better rating is doing well!!

Just as an aside on the Crystal Palace points docking, when Leicester were promoted after going into administration in 2002 the team that lost out were Sheffield Utd. The protests at that were what led to the introduction of "Sporting Sanctions" (points deductions).

Guess who was one of those calling most loudly and most publicly for points deductions. I'll give you a clue - he was the publicity-hungry manager of Sheffield Utd ......

You've missed a trick there, SLAMMED. If you'd written "1 less", Dirk would have followed up with a correction, giving you an opportunity to reply to him.

Isn't it an offence to knowingly trrade whilst insolvent?
