Liverpool rumoured to have rejected a bid in the region of 20 million Euro + Hleb. Footballing-wise that would be a great deal - speaks volumes for the situation the club is in that they are apparently holding out for 30 million cash.

There is also a story floating around that I don't fully understand which is that Milan wanted to sign Ibrahimovic now but Barca insisted that they loan him for a year first. The reason being something to do with him then still showing as a valued asset on Barca's financial sheet. His original transfer fee value would have only dropped by 1 years worth and that is far higher than the money they were due to get from Milan in the first year so loaning him out and keeping him on their books makes their finances look much stronger than they really are.

I think Barca's bank accounts are at full stretch. Was reading an article on the new President, basically he ran a campaign that he was the man to unlock Barca's marketing potential and create a world brand. Shirt sponsorship being one of his main points.

A cynic would say that the unicef logo was just a bridge.
