So it's not a 4:30 kick off then?

Can't believe I've ever seen City lose their shape like this.

Boot to the sternum is fine now apparently

What are the refs playing at?

It was a light-hearted comment about how I made a mistake about the kick-off time

MacAllister should have been sent off for the bad acting. Doku barely touched him

And Salah should've been booked for diving.

Really don't get these "it's a foul all day long anywhere else on the pitch but not when it's in the penalty area" decisions that keep popping up everywhere these days. Doku deliberately went to put his boot through it with an opposing player coming on to it. Would have been safer for him to head it, but no he chose a high boot.

Definitely a penalty
Cannot understand the decision at all
Whether he gets the ball or not is not relevant given that he makes (albeit glancing) contact with Mac Alister’s chest

They clearly didn't want to have such a big game decided by a penalty, absolute nonsense but hey. LiVARpool eh?

Cracking game that, considering it looked like a bit of a dud after the first half hour or so, why didn't Haaland play?
Etc
Etc

Terrific game. Another day, Liverpool win 3 or 4-1. Another day, City nick it and Doku's shot goes in off the post.

But that was a penalty. Every time. Appalling refereeing.

Aside from the obviously crap officiating - that performance by Endo at 6 for Liverpool is one of the best in recent memory. Outstanding from start to finish. Calm, composed. As languid around the pitch as a short Japanese guy can ever look. He can tackle hard, too.

There's something very questionable with the standard of refereeing at the moment, not just in the lower divisions where you expect to see people learning and mistakes being made, but at the highest level in this country, with the aid of slow-mo's and replays, where it is almost unacceptable for there to be errors made. Seems VAR has done nothing but made the game a laughing stock. PGMOL should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute.

And it seems Liverpool do find themselves on the worst end of many of these incredulous decisions.

And then to top it all you get idiot pundits like Carragher pointing out it's wrong but "normalising" it by saying it's OK as it's in the penalty area. The sooner he and the rest of the SKY idiots bog off as well the better, they should be making a point that all these incidents are completely unacceptable so something might get done about it, not justifying it so it goes on and on and on etc.

We do have a cracking title race, don't we? It's a shame that race is now curtailed by an international break. Three weeks until teams play again.

Obviously best result for Liverpool at the Etihad is a draw. They could be top again if they can beat Brighton at home.

Spurs are going to have a massive say in all this. Not only do they still have to play each of the top 3, they play them in a row, hosting City on 20th April, Arsenal a week later, and then going to Anfield.

Imagine the trip to Anfield could be well spicy with a very very "up for it" Liverpool. Looking forward to the farcical way that PGMOL will find to ruin it (and/or all three games) already.

Am just waiting for the announcement that Paul Tierney will referee, with Simon Hooper on VAR.
