we should have had a pen but can't really moan to much about VAR this week

Casimero booked and out of the game against Arsenal...also

The commentator and pundits on Sky last night were going way OTT about Casimero missing one game.
It's as if they feel that Man Utd are contenders to win the Premier League whereas in reality they are just trying to get into Europe, either for the Champions League or the Europa Cup.

I only watched the second half but whereas the commentators kept going on about Man Utd being in the ascendency I thought Palace were playing quite well (despite both teams giving the ball away a lot) and but for De Gea might have scored before the Olise special.

Dalot was considered a big miss but AWB has come on leaps and bounds. Anyone that tries to run at him (e.g. Martinelli) is not going to enjoy the game. Pass it around him and it's a different matter.

8)

This is what I meant...Arsenal goal comes from AWB losing his man at the back post

How did he end up at the far post having lost the ball 50 yards away the other side ?

After that he forgot to set his alarm

91/92 season, Man Utd top of the league with 5 games left to play, all geared up for their first league title in a long time.....FA schedule them to play 4 games in 7 days, they fall apart, Leeds are Champions. Mental

Saw Weghorst getting a fair bit of flak before yesterdays game but think he’s done well all three games

Good presence up top and allows the “flair” players to play off him a lot more than when it was Ronaldo up top! The move between Anthony, Fernandes and Weghorst was sensational, shame Anthony couldn’t finish it off

Spare a thought for Rangers, who in 2007-08, owing to cup replays denting their league schedule, and their UEFA Cup success, were forced to play their last nine games (of a 67-game season) in just 24 days. They ended up losing the UEFA Cup final to Zenit, and missing out on the SPL title having won just one of their last three matches.

Nice piece of trivia on a SPL player of that time, Celtic’s Jan Venegoor of Hesselink. His unusual name has unusual roots. His direct family could be traced back to the 17th Century where the Venegoor and Hesselink families were joined by marriage. Of equal social status and unable to agree which name to use, the families decided on ‘of’, which translates into English as ‘or’. So the literal translation of his name is Jan Venegoor or Hesselink.

Still not sure :
a) what Carroll thought he was doing
b) why the referee didn't see it as a straight red
c) why the VAR is allowed to sleep through part of the game and completely miss it

Wasn't the same VAR as the Brighton/LiVARpool game was it ?
That's 3 straight reds missed in just two games and none of the three are particularly debateable

Should be a good final, two inform teams and two teams desperate for a trophy.

+1, think it's why ETH went with such a strong team

Yep, would think so as well. Same with the FA Cup. Don't think he is taking anything to chance. Got 2 great opportunities to win a trophy.

Still be funny to maintain the status quo and keep Newcastle from winning.

Would now be very funny if United get a game postponed and Casimero ends up missing the final when Guimarias (sp.) is sent off in the semi-final and misses three league games

I think it might need two postponements, but with a cold snap coming …..

Is the NU goalkeeper guaranteed a winner's medal?
