HRK

What has happened to HRK no mention of him from Clarke! Is he really injured and if so when will he be back?

At the open day he was training with the others but leg was strapped. He also had a different colour bib on which I assumed was to remind other players to go easy on him.

On his last year. Likely he'll go next Summer regardless of what happens this season (unless for some reason he sell him now). Knowing he only can motivate himself for big games, the best thing that could happen is that he steps it up this season aiming for a major transfer next and plays out of his socks. Even if he did step it up, I wouldn't want him back.

John Smith Chris Coleman supposedly gets the best out him so what's the difference? Better players around him. Which suggests it's purely down to his ego.
There are better players around him in the Reading side.

Starting a player that wants away would be a mistake. We don't need him.

The point in HRK is a goalless draw.

There is no point to HRK.

How to devastate morale in one easy step ......

Coming off ...... HRK ...... coming NB. Bloody hell. At least the Good Old Boy was back. Maybe he should come on.

I'd rather play Stacey and take the risk.

At least the Nobber with the Mic, and the waffling Chairwoman were not in evidence.

After seeing the game Saturday I can only assume that if we buy Beric, HRK will be shipped of asap to offset the transfer fee and wages.

Once the rest of the squad is fit he will simply not get in the starting line up unless we are plagued with injuries.

Think it's too late for him to be honest. That he didn't feature in the cup game against Everton shows how far down the pecking order he is (unless he was injured, which I haven't seen anything on).

SC suggested that he had had a knock and MIGHT be available Saturday

Read this article - which is interesting in itself - and thought of HRK.

http://brianjohnspencer.blogspot.co.uk/ ... ndset.html

Is Hal an example of the Fixed Mindset. He now believes he has talent, but doesn't believe he needs to put in the hard work any more because he has made it.

"According to Matthew Syed's if you think it's about talent you inhabit a "talent paradigm." But the problem with this is that people who think they have a gift get complacent. For them it's binary and you either have it or you don't. They think they will be buoyed to the top by their superior genetics. This is a classic problem at premier league academies.
The young people work hard to get there, get showered with praise and money, then draw the inference that they've got it and so stop training. As a result of this they don't make the transition into professional football."

I didn't realise the story of how Silverdale Road in Earley, went on to dominate the world of Table Tennis - more detail her....

Oh and yes it is a quiet day at work in case you are wondering....

Download, Syed had a bit of a pop at one of his old games teachers at Maiden Erlegh in yesterday's Times article. Apparently was one those 'medals for everyone who takes part' advocates. Guess the table tennis thing was nothing to do with school.

Anyway, back to Hal. Hopefully he'll buck his ideas up now that he's surrounded by quite a few players who are more talented than him, as he has done for Wales.

Time will tell.
