winchester_royal The grass is always greener on the other side.

It isn't always no, but it definitely is greener in Germany. Germany tends to shit on this country in pretty much every way tbf. Lovely people too on the whole.

I don't doubt it, but I have a friend whose dad is a pretty famous German manager (look at me) and his fascination with English football/atmospheres is roughly equal to ours with Germany. Dortmund and Bayern are fantastic football clubs with great stadiums and loud fans, and on the big European nights they look thoroughly enviable..but then again so does Anfield. English football is good in a lot of ways, hence its popularity domestically and globally, but because we see the bad sides we view it with a certain amount of negativity. We don't see the dark side of German football.

Yeah would agree with that

Everything in the Premier League is exaggerated so when something bad happens the media jump on it and it clouds our perception of the English game....the good parts are hardly ever reported

Exciting in the end there. Real should have won by more. Only themselves to blame for poor finishing. Dortmund didn't look so good did they?

Still had plenty of chances themselves though.

Think they suffered from not quite knowing how to approach the game and once the frist went in the nerves kick-in big stlye

Both teams were wasteful. Best team went through.

Looked nervous - however in a one off game against a team they know well, its anyone's final (proving Barca don't pull off a miracle)

The theatrics will be interesting tonight.

There has been a bit of a 'war of words' between Barcelona and Bayern in the newspapers this week with Bayern talking up Barcelona's diving and gamesmanship. Quite a few players on yellow cards I believe so potential for things to get unpleasant.

Really? Madrid should have been out of sight in the first 15 mins. Really poor finishing from easy chances let them down. Dortmund were always going to get a few chances as time went on as the game got stretched with Madrid throwing caution to the wind.

A good team creates chances a striker who bottles big games misses them.

Yep, but teams can have off days. To say Real aren't a good team is

Lets be honest - if you reach the semi final of the European Cup you've gotta have something about you......none of the last 4 are shite and any of them had a chance of winning it

Not saying Madrid aren't good, i'm saying the better team went through.

By this logic though i'm saying Chelsea were better than Bayern last year in the final, which is obvioulsy nonsence, so i'm proper confused.

Robben scores, that's the end of any Barca hopes.
