AP - this is very good news for us; its a win/win.

SHunt knows that IF he wants to play in the premier League next season he will need to play his part in getting us promoted because, bluntly, NO-ONE was prepared this window to stump up the £5M - and there is no reason to think they would next Summer either.

Providing he doesn't sulk about it and providing he reacts as you say and actually starts turning in some half decent performances. for me he's been average - poor for the last couple of months, especially in December when absolutely embarassingly he was given POTM in the division.

Personally I'm not a fan, never been and the way he has tried to use every trick in the book to try and get a move this month i don't find in great taste to be honest.

If he plays well from now until the end of the season then fair play.

Agree with both of you but wouldn't it have been better if the club had spent just a bit of it's vast riches on somebody who could challenge both Hunt and Kebe for a starting position?
Maybe the two imports will do it and great if they do but with Tabb (Coventry's best player according to their fans )not even on the bench for these two games suggests to me that they have been brought in just to swell the numbers and act as cover.
By contrast it looks to me as though Wolves,Birmingham and Cardiff have tried to IMPROVE on what they already have.

Other news sites have been claiming since 5:00 that the Arshavin deal is done. Wouldn't be surprised if it was to be honest, SSN are there to hype things up and keep them dragging on as long as possible for dramatic effect.

Liverpool also still owed something like £10m to Spurs.

There is always one of these transfer each time which over-runs the deadline.

We have.

4 1/2 year deal, former Hearts captain. Looks a very good signing indeed, and didn't cost much either. Was it undisclosed? I know they said seven figures but we could have matched the fee I'm sure.
