I think he could've been so much better, had he been playing week-in, week-out, possibly with a few England caps. I don't think anyone is going to deny that Sidwell has had a very decent footballing career, but it could've been better had he not gone to Chelsea. It might not have been though and Chelsea was the best move for him, no one will ever know.

No Fixed Abode Well he moved on and played at a higher level.

Chelsea? Stoke? Prem. Then bigger championship clubs.

Chelsea

But my original point wasn't players who actually moved to a bigger club, it was players who kicked on and actually made it big. Even you can admit he didn't set the world alight when he joined you guys

I remember him being dreadful when he played for Chelsea against us, he was hooked off at HT IIRC.

Still playing with better players though at one of the biggest clubs in the World.

I think he's referring to his time at Fulham, m8.

So - Joe Hart. Badly treated, or past it and destined to end his career at a middling club?

Nah, I'd say he's a pretty good goalkeeper, but that City prefer others. He'll get a decent gig.

He appears to be a worse goalkeeper today than he was 3-4 years ago. Still think he is decent though, just needs to get back to not making so many errors,

Reckon he could do much worse than joining Liverpool

Tbh if he hadn't bought Karius already, I think Klopp would go for Hart. I doubt he'll manage to ship Mignolet out in a few days.
Can't see much of an obvious destination for Hart in the Premier League. Everton if they hadn't signed Stekelenburg. West Ham if Adrian wasn't in good form.

Have always wanted to see more English players go abroad. Would be great to see him playing for one of the better teams in Spain, Italy or Germany I reckon.

I still think Hart is a top 'keeper. Personally, I think he would be a very good signing for Dortmund, Weidenfeller is getting on a bit and he would be playing CL football every year for them.

There are some claims by journalists that Man City are asking for a £7M loan fee to be paid for Hart plus all of his £135,000 a week (£7M a year) wages need to be covered by the club taking him too. You can see why paying £14M for a bloke who will walk away for nothing back to City in 9 months time is going to put some clubs off.

Everton would be a good shout for Hart - they've got the financial backing now, a good manager and are building a decent squad.
