I'm no expert on photoshop but if I was I reckon I could make the font on both sides look the same there

BTW, as Kes has gone is it safe to say Liverpool looked pretty sharp against Bayern this evening

Yeah, Liverpool have had a decent pre-season.

Rumours though that Coutinho is Barcelona-bound for around €100m - Klopp keeping his cards relatively close to his chest, saying only that he 'isn't for sale'. A couple of sources in the UK say the story is bollocks and is a Barcelona-sponsored 'tapping up' of the player through the Spanish media, but Coutinho's silence suggests there is something in it.

Over on the LFC boards, FSG's reputation is basically hanging on whether Coutinho stays. And even rumours Klopp will walk if he made to sell both the Brazilian and Mane, who is wanted by Inter Milan - not least since the Board have so far failed to get deals for either Van Dijk or Keita over the line.

Coutinho doesn't seem to be doing the usual tricks of current players after a move like refusing to play and leaking to favourable journos, so I'm hopeful they can keep him. Although if Barca have 198 million in cash they may have a bit of a decent hand

Take £150M for Coutinho and waft some of it in Spurs' direction to tempt Alli away would be my advice. Spend whatever's left over on rescuing Gylfi from South Wales and some kind of a left back.

*cough* Torres *cough* Suarez.

On previous form, what will happen is Klopp will say Coutinho isn't for sale, Liverpool will continue to be linked with Keita, Rafinha, Rakitic or a number of German attacking midfielders, then Coutinho will leave the day the transfer window closes with no replacement.

Alli would be a cracking replacement, but Spurs wouldn't sell him to Liverpool. They just signed Andy Robertson at left-back, from Hull.

On what planet would Alli be worth less than Coutinho?

"That's football!!"

Klopp clearly enjoying his side's 3rd goal last night. And a beauty it is too.

Liverpool irresistable going forward again, but that defence will cost them any major honours.

I didn't realise Liverpool were playing last night. I think it's because Cheltenham v West Ham was on too.

Agreed. Arguably one of the best attacking sides in the world today but a defensive disaster just waiting to happen (and what gets me is it always seems to be the same mistakes over and over again). They still need to sign a central defender, a goalkeeper and a left back plus getting in a class defensive coach wouldn't be a bad thing either.

Alexander-Armstong looks like he may have the makings of a class international right back though.

Alexander Armstrong present Pointless, but Alexander-Arnold does look top quality. Liverpool have signed Andy Robertson at left-back and he was excellent on debut against Palace at the weekend. Van Dijk surely has to be a priority - they aren't going to achieve consistent results without bringing in a new centre-back.
