Alan Partridge 'ex league failures' And Aldershot have done what exactly?

0-3 cya.

never been relegated in their history to date.want more?

and have never played league football in their history to date.

of course not. nobody denies that.

So calling a team that spent 80 odd years in it 'failures' is surely a bit wrong?!

are you american?

A team that went bankrupt is more of a failure than a team relegated to the Conference.

I'm not sure I care, but how exactly?

I don't know the ins and outs of Aldershot's demise, but surely a team that goes bust and loses it's league status is nothing to do with the players themselves where as in Oxford's case, the players we shit and got the club relegated.

club/team you know the point he was raising.

Still think 80 years in the football league > none

On course to return, and now bored of frimley again.

A club that fails to survive money problems is a failure. Do you see Brighton giving up?

I'd've thought you would give up using the 'you must be American because you didn't understand frimmers was being ironic' line after you got shot down the last two times you used it.

It's chicken and egg, though - perhaps Oxford's players were shit because the club's owners had buggered up the finances and shit players were all they were prepared to pay for!

Someone in the know told me that in Oxford's last season in the League the players' meal allowance for away matches was £30. That's £30 for the whole team, not each! They used to have to take it in turns to microwave a ready-meal in the coach on the way to the away match.

So no wonder they couldn't get the players to keep them up.

Went to York road today, and saw good value for my £2. Newport went 2-0 up before half time thanks two a couple of good set pieces. Maidenhead then pulled back with a couple of neat finishes and should really have gone ahead but were denied by a good save and the cross bar. Then with virtually the last kick of the game Newport scored a winner after the intitial free kick hit the cross bar.

Tredder My mate plays for Hampton and they have Basingstoke away in a couple of weeks.

They had 10 men on saturday and beat Eastleigh 3-1 and tonight they travel to Bishops Stortford and get done 6-2 with 11.

and he scored the opener, Hampton could be the dark horses in this league.
