Jagielka and Yakubu miss for Everton - they're nearly out.

EDIT - all over.

Where was AJ when they needed him?

Both English teams come back from 1st leg deficits but lose on pens.

Typical

Didnt watch the spurs game, but feel really bad for Everton, they didnt stop attacking for 120min. Fiorentnia offered nothing and were cynical as hell

I was ridiculed after we lost to Portugal for suggesting the English national team and club sides couldn't take penalties as they lack technique.

What do those people say now? Another night which just backs up the point.

Club sides are a little different as they are riddled with jonny foreigners, albeit the Spurs pen was missed by Jermaine Penis

It's Karma. If Spurs hadn't cheated with that penalty against us they'd have won the penalty shootout tonight.

Its still the mentality and structure. They don't practice them. As you said the big miss was funnily enough form an englishman.

Not by me

Its something i'm very vocal about. The fault lies totally with out fans and media who will crucify someone for missing the goal.

I would rather our players had the bottle to place a pen, rather than just hit it on target and hope the keeper goes the other way. Its just a lack of bottle

The fault for a player missing a penalty lies with the media? I thought our top professionals were paid to put distractions like that out of their mind?
