Look out for Mike Riley trying to reassert his authority on Saturady by throwing a few cards in the direction of some relegation zone players who'll put up and shut up.

From the BBC website

==================================================================================
There was an unsavoury scene on the stroke of half-time when Ashley Cole floored Spurs defender Alan Hutton near the touchline with a tackle that was both high and late - and worthy of a red card in the current disciplinary climate.

Chelsea's players - led by England captain John Terry under the watchful eye of coach Fabio Capello - rushed and surrounded referee Mike Riley in a chaotic scene that did them no credit.

When the crowd of Chelsea players finally dispersed, Riley showed leniency in producing only a yellow card
===================================================================================

This is whats wrong with Football in this country... Any players that surround the referee should be booked.

The challange was definatley a Red card. The referee was swayed by the fact that it was John Terry and co.

Maybe Ashley Cole is jellous of the fact that Alan Hutton is a better player than him and he is younger .

Then it's a good job that our players (with the exception of Bikey) don't tend to give the officials verbal abuse.

Wally, however, will have to be on his best behaviour :lol:

............on top of all this John Terry thinks it's OK to park in a disabled parking space for 2 hours because all he'll get is a £60 fine. :evil:

Idiot.

Actually thinking about it, maybe he IS disabled. :shock:

BBC Sport Blues boss Avram Grant added: "I didn't see it but the referee was very close and I saw everybody jump on him, including the Tottenham bench.

"I know when we are doing this everybody says we are not behaving right. We have a lot of respect for referees."

Of course you do, Avram, of course you do :lol:

We should berate Huddlestone for his pathetic dive too. This has probably gone unmentioned as he plays for Spurs though.....

Seriously Harold/Kes, you have a right to support whoever you want and like all of us see our team through tinted glasses, however you must be embarassed to have the like of Cole in your side?

Well yes - but he got booked for it. Cole's dissent went unpunished.

How Cole could defend his actions and say he went for the ball just sums him up.

He, and the rest of the team, were scared he was going to be sent off. Their actions seem to have prevented that happening.
A weak referee. :roll:

Gives them carte blanche to did it again, again and again.

Pathetic.

I think Riley should be punished and banned from this weekends matches. :wink:

Yeh but is he, really? I don't see anything that makes him stand out from the crowd.
