is "wierd" the word that so many reading fans seem incapable of getting their mouths around?....it reminds me of a german bisexual girlfriend of mine....she could never say "soixante neuf".she found it a bit of a mouth full...

Streets Pardon my ignorance. I loved local football and am all for supporting a club in between watching Reading, but why are there so many keen Maidenheaders?
Live local to the place?
What about Basingstoke or Reading Town?

Reading Town are at a DUMP level for me to bother with. Going down to Maidenhead is a lot easier to get to, I can be home via the train 25 mins after the final whistle unless I go to the pub. Basingstoke (not even in the same County!) and RTFC are not easily accesible by public transport.

Reading West station is only about 20 min walk and 10 min jogg so it is easyily accesible to Scours Lane.

I'd venture that's quite a decent selling point for a lot of the Maiders followers on here - two promotions away from the Football League (same as Basingstoke but easier to get to fro the Woodley / Twyford / Charvil massive) as opposed to Reading Town who are God knows how many promotions away from the Football League).
