RTFC Drummer Dear Reading fans,
I am writing to ask if any of you Reading fans are not busy on the 20th December. If you’re not busy on that Saturday then I was wondering if any of lot would consider watching Reading Town.

The team who Reading Town is playing that weekend are currently 2nd in the table and are in fine form. Reading Town had a great result beating Milton United 5-0 at home today. The team is playing really well which has meant some great football and goals to be seen over the past few weeks and for that to continue. Witney have their own kind of Barmy Army who is known to make some decent noise away from home. We need to outs sing them and show then who’s got the best Barmy Army in the Hellenic League.

So let’s get 20 or 30 fans or maybe even more singing their hearts for the Town and make for a great atmosphere behind the goal. Will you consider going just this once? Go on you may just love it.

Join my forum http://readingtownchat.4umer.net/index.htm if you may consider going on the 20th and visit the unofficial website which is http://www.readingtownfc.tk/ to look at match reports, match videos etc.

RTFC Drummer The football is not as bad as people make out at this level.......its good value, great entertainment and always a great laugh which can't be said about other clubs.

I've been. He's lying.

Last few weeks have been great entertainment!!

Believe me, if you think three 15 year old boys jumping around for 90 minutes like they have a wasps nest in their boxer shorts is entertainment, then i'd suggest paying a visit to your GP, who will probably suggest you go to Broadmoore.

You've already started about 20 "Reading Town threads". Please keep it all in the same place so it can be ignored all the more easily. Ta.

Chalfont Wasps fly in for this Tuesday's game (Sun 23rd Nov)

Fourth place Chalfont Wasps make a visit to Scours Lane this Tuesday to take on 8th placed Reading Town. The Wasps lost their first league game to Old Woodstock Town 2-1 but after that they won their next 7 league games from Saturday 30th August to Tuesday 23rd September which included them stinging Witney 5-0 away. After that string of excellent results they then lost their next two, loosing 2-0 away to Pegasus on Saturday 3rd October and then loosing to Shortwood United at home 3-1 seven days later. Chalfont soon found their form again winning the next three games, beating Hook Norton 2-1 away, 3-2 at home and 3-2 away to Milton United. The next three games saw them lose 2-1 to Hungerford away then batter Flackwell Heath 7-1 and the most recent result was against Witney at home which was 2-1 loss yesterday.

You may be one of them...............if the some people just came to one game then they might see my point in saying that the standard of footballl is entertaing and for people who like to sing at Reading but the rest don't then join the RTFC Barmy Army at Scours Lane to sing funny songs and have a good old laugh.

You always

by RTFC Drummer » 25 Nov 2008 07:52

Complain how bad your support is and that the atmosphere is appalling but if you lot came to Scours lane then all of that would be forgotten. There are only 2 of us singing normally but the things we sing are hilarious and it’s great fun.

So if you want to make some noise then Scours Lane is the place to be!!!

Is this behaviour acceptable at Scours lane??
