almost spat my chicken and stuffin sandwiches out when i read this this morning lol

MANCHESTER UNITED chief executive David Gill earned £1.8million last year as the club plunged further into debt.
Gill's wages increased £100,000 from 2008 and £320,000 from 2007.

The news comes when cutbacks are being made, including denying 'non-essential' staff free breakfast at the training ground.

In a few years time, Man City will be better than Man Utd. Since the ineffective Ronaldo left, they've been poor.

Probably not the best thread for this, but John O'Shea confirmed out for the rest of the season. Dead-leg turned out to have complications with a blood-clot that calcified.

Comfortably Numb love united fans bitching about none penalties and non corners when you've been getting them for the last 17 or so years. Welcome to Manchester :D

Fact is though we haven't :?

Its just the media would like you to believe that we have.

rubbish. evry club gets the rub of the green one week and then not the next. you've had your share of luck, good and bad. no more so than city last night. make the home leg count, or face humiliation on your own turf. its great for football that the rivalry between the two clubs is increasing now. good viewing

Turbanators :o

Carlos Tevez My celebration was directed at Gary Neville. He acted like a complete sock-sucker [boot-licker] when he said I wasn't worth £25 million just to suck up to the manager. I don't know what the hell that idiot is talking about me for. I never said anything about him."I will never show a lack of respect towards anyone. Just as I was running off to celebrate the penalty I had scored, I came across Gary and I said to myself: "Shut your trap, keep quiet". I didn't go overboard in my celebration and it was directed at Gary, not at Ferguson and not at the fans.

"I think he did the wrong thing because I was his team-mate and I never said anything bad about him. He was saying that Ferguson was right when he said that I wasn't worth £25 million, when he was saying this and that... I always respected Neville."

"I was at lunch with the players in the team hotel and all the papers were laid out. I read them - well, 'read them', obviously I don't read [English]."My team-mates were telling me about it and asking what I thought. And I wondered to myself: what's the tarado [moron] talking about me for when I never said anything about him, when there was never any [issue] with us. It was a lack of respect for a compañero [fellow footballer], aside of the fact that we had won a lot of things together.

"You have to do your talking on the pitch. I don't talk much in England - mainly because of the language. I don't like to get involved in conflict. I'm happy because I know what I am. Thank God I had the chance to get revenge with City, although there is still the second leg to come," he added, concluding with a joke: "I know that Ferguson loves me, that's why he always talks about me, ha ha

Its not just the ineffective bit that don't make sense - how does losing someone ineffective ever make you poor?

I did like an article around Xmas that pretty much said "the Premier League has lost its attacking verve as shown by the poorer defending"

LOL
WUT

We have a real 3 horse race for the title
We have a 3 way, possibly 4 way fight for 4th place, of which 1, if not 2, of those teams are be going to Wembley for the first time in a long while.

That's a good season - no-one really cares about the quality of the football if there's a real sense of competition.
