Bergkamp-esque today, that was quite brilliant.

Big hoof from well inside other half, Krul should be stood on edge of box just plucking that from the air.

Just watching Gary Neville talk through Suarez's goal yesterday, and one thing nobody really seems to be pointing out is that Suarez stayed on his feet when Coloccini fouls him as he brings the ball down.

United supporting mate said today that Suarez is at his best, and lethal, when he doesn't have time to think - citing yesterday's goal and others he has scored this season which have looked totally instinctive.

Hoop Blah
Wax Jacket it's all a bit irrelevant anyway as he's a show-pony who can't score goals

10 in 15 this season isn't it?

11 in 16 now and scored in the last 4 I think it is.

Again there were a couple of instances of him staying on his feet when I think might've dived previously. Like Drogba and Ronaldo before him perhaps the penny had dropped for him.

He's been quality this season, everything he promised to be when he first joined the club. Biggest problem might be hanging on to him at Liverpool if they don't make some progress this season.

All of a sudden the pundits and so-called experts are saying what a good player he is and the way he is going he could even end up as the top Premier League goalscorer.
Will Chelsea once again offer many of their millions for another Liverpool striker?

Apparently stamped on a Wigan player yesterday according to the papers. Haven't seen the footage yet.

Yeah, nasty foul that.

Listened to 606 tonight and one Liverpool fan rang up and said he'd prefer if the club just sold Suarez because he disgraces the club with his behaviour. LOL. He's not a nice guy, but Liverpool surely need to keep him. Quality player. Then another Liverpool fan rang up and attacked the first one's point. Anyone hear it?

No post-match punishment for him however.....

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... Jones.html

That seems to me to be an utterly mad reason not to retrospectively punish the player; I was under the impression that unless an incident occured which was mentioned in the ref's report, video evidence such as the above can be used to mete out punishment after the game.......

He did a similarly vicious late challenge last month on Everton's Sylvian Distan.

He really is a nasty piece of work.

Just like most players, most weeks in most divisions-these challenges go on all the time.
Do we want 11 per side games or do we want games where every mistimed challenge leads to a red?
Yesterday Probert let loads of tackles go uncarded in the Fulham game and yet because the lanky Hangeland appeared to be more aggressive he got a straight red.
Danny Rose did something similar and not even a yellow.

I'm all for retrospective punishment (yes even for Suarez) as long as every single player is analysed over the full 90 minutes as opposed to just those that TV hones in on.

You weren't watching then?

Both decisions were consistent with what we see every week.

Hangeland left the floor (and went out of control) before landing on a mixture of player and ball. He knew while he was in the air he was going off.

Rose played the ball first, stayed on the ground, didn't follow through with his other leg, etc.

No,Rose did follow through and the commentators were surprised that he wasn't carded.
