Mr Angry No post-match punishment for him however.....

That seems to me to be an utterly mad reason not to retrospectively punish the player; I was under the impression that unless an incident occured which was mentioned in the ref's report, video evidence such as the above can be used to mete out punishment after the game.......
He did a similarly vicious late challenge last month on Everton's Sylvian Distan.
He really is a nasty piece of work.

Just like most players, most weeks in most divisions-these challenges go on all the time.
Do we want 11 per side games or do we want games where every mistimed challenge leads to a red?
Yesterday Probert let loads of tackles go uncarded in the Fulham game and yet because the lanky Hangeland appeared to be more aggressive he got a straight red.
Danny Rose did something similar and not even a yellow.
I'm all for retrospective punishment (yes even for Suarez) as long as every single player is analysed over the full 90 minutes as opposed to just those that TV hones in on.

You weren't watching then?
Both decisions were consistent with what we see every week.
Hangeland left the floor (and went out of control) before landing on a mixture of player and ball. He knew while he was in the air he was going off.
Rose played the ball first, stayed on the ground, didn't follow through with his other leg, etc.
