That seems to me to be an utterly mad reason not to retrospectively punish the player; I was under the impression that unless an incident occured which was mentioned in the ref's report, video evidence such as the above can be used to mete out punishment after the game.......
He did a similarly vicious late challenge last month on Everton's Sylvian Distan.
He really is a nasty piece of work.
Just like most players,most weeks in most divisions-these challenges go on all the time.
Do we want 11 per side games or do we want games where every mistimed challenge leads to a red?
