Blackburn's owners have confirmed they have made a bid for AC Milan's Brazilian star Ronaldinho.

Reports of a sensational move for the former World Player of the Year emerged on Monday with Rovers' new owners Venky's keen to make a splash in the transfer window.

Venky's initially denied making any move for Ronaldinho, but now they have confirmed they have lodged a £6.2million bid for the former Barcelona star.

Asian my butt. They're pakistanis. Although pakistan is technically in southern Asia blobbed in between Iran, Afghanistan and India, it just won't do to keep calling pakistani people asians.
Would you call an Afghan or an Iranian an "asian" person?

Asian type person = Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese etc.

Pakistani, Afghan, Iranian type person = Middle eastern, arab, people.

Stop saying they're asian, cause they're not asians. They're muslims, pakistanis, middle easterners, whatever you want to call them.

Compare how they look to what an actual asian person looks like:


Clearly, this is just a way to try to make it sound better. As if somehow it's better to them to be called asian than to be called an arab/muslim/whatever. Sounds cleaner. More harmless.

My conclusion - Pakistani people: they're middle easterners, not asians.

Muslim refers to religion.
Pakistani refers to nationality.
Asian refers to the continent of origin.
