On the one hand I completely agree. On the other he's served his time and you can't bar ex-criminals from working. The only issue here is really the public profile and the fact he'll earn quite a lot, should that really make a difference? Should all ex-criminals be stuck working dead-end menial jobs, or on benefits?
I think he should be allowed the right to play football but no club sign him. Especially the club he was at whilst he did the crime. It'd be almost as if they are saying what he did was okay and he's forgiven. The after effects of rape don't last 2 years do they?
Have the PFA take him on to educate players on where he went wrong. But he won't even admit it.
