Hey Koppite, I was there at the Wembley Bremner/Keegan slap and tickle thing.

I take exception to the dissing of Don Revie....Leeds were my boyhood heroes

Back to which

Past Chelsea managers have been sacked for daring to be being second placed.

" The only way is Jose"

Lol

Royalist Costa accused of assaulting a steward. If its the footage doing the rounds there is nothing in it but if it is something else yet more drama from Chelsea being bad losers.

Lol, no, nothing in it. Either the Stoke steward was having a laugh and trying to rub salt in the wound or he's a massive helm.

Well, he's a steward, so the odds weigh heavily towards one of those two in particular.

Oh, and whilst you'll almost never see it given, I think Kes would have a case for this week's 'shoulda had a penalty' claim. Remy clearly impeded by the slide of the keeper. Shearer was right  if you don't give a penalty there, you're basically telling players to dive.

EDIT:

It's just occurred to me, that whilst it would be absolutely delightful to see Chelsea relegated, it'd really pinch our chances of promotion tighter next season, assuming we don't make it this year... and possibly even threaten the record. Why does every silver lining have to have a cloud.

Threaten the record ?
Of the, allegedly, good players they have, how many do you think would be playing in the Championship ?
This wouldn't be Newcastle from years back, they'd lose most if not all of the identified first team

Obviously. My point is it would actually be bad for us to see them go down, despite how funny and pleasant it would seem at first glance

If Costa gets done for that then Kes' conspiracy theory is indeed real.

The only time it's ok to agree with Alan Shearer is when he's disagreeing with Ian Wright.

It was a farcical decision. The only thing that stopped the keeper clearing him out was a massive evasion effort from Remy. He completely paid for his desire to score rather than win the penalty.

I'm angry enough about just seeing such officiating idiocy . Can't imagine the rage that what went down in the Chelsea hotel at that point.

Yep, agreed, Chelsea should have had a penalty for Butland's challenge on Remy. Remy penalised for his professionalism.

Still, LOL!!!

I personally don't think it should have been a pen - the advantage was played and he missed the goal.

If he didn't jump over the keeper it wouldn't have been a dive, it would have been a foul and a pen

Stonewall penalty for me as with most other pundits. Another poor decision going against us. More evidence in favour of Jose about the officials. They're really stacking up now.
