Bring Back The SB
robinsfriday Would not surprise me if a conclusion to this 'rumour' happens soon. Sooner than we'd expect actually.

What do you know my friend?

Seems that he is heading our way, all the town fans on twitter are saying goodbye to him and they all think he is on his way to the Vlad stad.

would be a great signing imo. he could be a class striker in the future since he is very young.

...until I hear the chairman utter those mercurial words "in times of cloth-cutting, this signing shows our ambition.... ....." ...for me it's not a done deal :D

So can we expect to see Jordan and Pavel modeling the new kit this afternoon, ready for it's pre-order?

We wouldn't be able to announce Rhodes until July 1st anyway due to the transfer window rules as i understand it,

Not an issue for Pog or McCleary as they were out of contract, but is an issue with Rhodes.

Monday, when he can hold up the shiny new kit..... or more likely the same day Pavel's permit comes through so they can both hold up the shiny new kit.

I'd just like to say...

Pavel Pogrebnyak
Jordan Rhodes
Adam leFondre
Jason Roberts
Noel Hunt

This would be a very versatile and able strike force. The various pairing options of these players looks interesting and the bench would also be dangerous and in-your-face for a tiring defence.

What is the new kit made of? Sounds quite heavy if they need 2 people to hold it up.

Hudds fans say this is now a done deal but they wont announce it until two of their targets are confirmed.

Still slightly surprised that we would bring in two strikers without offloading a couple first.

I think there's only room for 4 strikers with the 25 man squad setup...so wouldnt be surprised to see Hunt leave in addition to Church and co...

This will be our front line next season. Powerful, quick, strong and all with a unique twist to their game.

Feel really sorry for Church, works his socks off but the ball never falls for him. Showed last season that given a run in the team he can score goals, but unfortunately i feel he is doomed to playing Championship football next season.
Brian is like a father to Churchy though, so that could swing it

Would people be happy if we spent the suggest £6 mill + Morrison? I just cant see a player who is unproven at Championship level let alone Premiership level being worth that. Maybe 3-4 considering he has had a phenomenal season but again, its just the one season. By the sounds of the Huddersfield fans you would think they were selling Messi.

I'd imagine it would be 3-4.5mil Plus SM, possible rising to 6mil including bonuses - Staying up, goal targets and appearences etc

I spose, whilst it sounds a little grotesque, it's not up to us whether we think £6M + Morrison is excessive, if it is within the parameters of what AZ is prepared to pay for a given player then the bill will be met. We are in a whole different ball game now, we might not be Man City but I don't think we will be relying as much on Nick Hameed's ability to cut deals either.

I know excatly what you mean UR but I think there is something special about this kid.

Spurs were in for him a while ago also. I appreciate he hasn't played Tier 1 or 2 but think he is good enough for the step up. So many scouts can't be wrong.

I would love that attacking line up but I disagree about 4 strikers. We def need 5 looking at Roberts' and Hunt's Injury record.
