Strange move that, unless he's being groomed as Gerrard's replacement.

IIRC he was once part of the youth coaching set-up with Liverpool so would be no stranger to Stevie.

Michael Appleton did similar when he left the Oxford job to become Craig Shakespear's Number 2 at Leicester. In all probability he's probably got more money and more job security and less stress.

Lovely stuff

Surprised they didn't get John Collins to make the announcement

Franchise FC’s brother

Need to check your spelling

And pronunciation for that matter

And as it happens, my siblings don't have the same surname as me

Apart from that it's perfect

Looks to have some experience with Bristol Rovers, where his stats were terrible and then Swindon where he has decent enough stats and also guided them to the play-offs.

Sounds like a reasonable enough appointment.

Ive always heard it said by journalists that realistically he couldn't be the PSG manager, and so doesn't have any interest in it.

He is so associated with Marseille and idolised by their fans, even though he never played for them, that it would make him taking over at PSG very difficult.

Yet, whatever Macron said must have worked because, according to a very reliable journalist, "Deal close to completion between Zidane & PSG".
