Yea but in the same way sexual activity with a child does.

All he has to do is:

- make the jury believe he didn't know her age. This could be easy if the girl turns up at court covered in make up and looking older than the child she is. He will also probably claim he asked her "how old are you babe" and she replied "19 and I'm in college" or some sheet like that

- or he could say nothing sexual happened. Difficult angle

An allegation would be enough if there's credible evidence that they did meet. So yea texts or FB/tweets or something. Also if she confided in anyone that would be good evidence.

However the offences are all consensual - I.e. Not rape.

The hard thing to prove potentially is the age thing.

It's probably not the case that he picked her up from school - if he did he's a bloody idiot and will get convicted. It's also unlikely there's a message where she's sent him saying "I'm 14" or something.

His defence will probably be "yea I shagged her but she told me she was 18/19/whatever and I believed her"

It will probably be her word against him where she will say "I told him at the beginning I was only 14 and he still had sex with me"
