A double relegation couldn't happen to many more deserving clubs. Screw you Brooking.

They will, sadly, be swimming in dosh next season, millions in for the sales of Green, Parker, Hitzlsperger etc. How bad are their financial problems?

Just a shame Wigan scored that last minute winner otherwise we could have had them as good as relegated as well....

Pretty bad I would say.

First, they have debt. Gold has gone on record recently as saying they are probably in a worse position than just about any other club in the country.

And secondly, those players you mentioned are all on sky high wages that 2/3 of the PL teams couldn't match. This will either means loaning them out to get them off the wage bill, or selling them and having to give chunks of that back to the player and his agent to balance out the potential loss of earnings at the new club.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the new parachute money over 4 seasons is 12m, 12m, 8m and 8m. I think a fair chunk of that will be accounted for already.

It's even more than that - it's £48M in total. £16M, £16M, £8M & £8M.

I read that West Ham were £80M in debt....

Ooopps - edit: when the current owners took over, it was far worse than that!!

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/west_ham/article6993699.ece

£110M in debt!!

2nd edit - Comedy gold later in the article......

Sullivan met Gianfranco Zola, the manager, for the first time last night and claimed that he was not in the habit of sacking managers. “Franco deserves our support and will get it,” Sullivan said. “He is staying.”

So that will be 2 managers sacked in less than a Year then.........glad they aren't in a habit of sacking managers otherwise WHU would be able to hold its own Manager of the Month award.

Blackpool fans also did this for PNE when they were relegated according the bbc. I wonder if they too have something up their sleeve for an Old Trafford flypass.

Good point, quite a gamble as they'd have looked like right pillocks! I'm glad they pulled it off, I know if I tried a stunt like that it'd be cursed.

Any team that pays Keiran Dyer a reported £83,000 per week deserves what they get!

Interesting dilemma. Try to do a Newcastle and gain Immediate return and keep the wolves from the door for a little longer. Or miss out on promotion for a couple of seasons, enter financial oblivion and plummet down the league.

Steve McLOLaren denies having already held talks with the club, and Gareth Southgate is thought to be on their wanted LOList.

Kicked off after Demba Ba said he wouldn't do any autographs because he was too tired. Why did this event even happen?

SSN say there was a 'mass brawl' involving fans and a number of players.
