As long as he doesn't end up at Swansea permanently!

Just scored a scremer against Wigan. Shades of West Brom in the FA Cup. Completely bossing the game, we will not get him back, even if we go up :(

Pure quality, I miss Gylfi, but he's better than RFC. Good to see him doing well in the Premier League.

gorgeous goal. Would make him number one priority to sign if we go up. Although I doubt we could manage it.

If Swansea stay up, maybe they can hold on to him for another season, but I expect Sigurdsson to be in a Villa/Everton or similar shirt soon enough, maybe more. He's make United's midfield more dynamic as he is now.

if we go up then it's possible we could afford him. certainly if swansea could we could. i suppose it depends just how ambitious and keen to keep us in the premiership tsi are.

i've always felt he would be liverpool's ideal gerrard back-up/replacement in waiting.

Here's the difference: Swansea signed him on loan when he had fallen out with Hoffenheim, and now he is banging them in in the Premiership. Big difference.

so they may want what they bought him for. and? (the new manager doesn't rate gylfi. he brought in firmino who has impressed in gylfi's position) i doubt his value will increase beyond that with one year left on his contract after this season. it would come down to how ambitious we were and if that amount was too much for us. we don't know what hoffenheim would want for him or what we would be prepared to pay, so no-one call rule it out or in.

The likes of Everton, Villa, West Ham are probably counting out their Gylfi treats as we speak

He'd come to us over West Ham surely. Obviously assuming we both go up, we haven't a prayer if we're not in the PL.

He's top 4 potential; not ready yet though. If we go up, I reckon we could have him back for a year or two. But now he's tearing up the Premier League, he could easily go to a Villa/Everton/Newcastle and I think he'd be mad to choose us over them.

He's not what they need right now, but surely the best club football-wise Sigurdsson could go to is Arsenal?

Seen him playing for Swansea a bit, and immediately thought he wouldn't look out of place in an Arsenal shirt. Their style of play, need for new players, coupled with Wenger liking to develop talent...I would put money on Gylfi being a Gooner before long.

I'd be very surprised if Everton were able spend the sort of money they'd need to spend to buy Gylfi.

He won't be joining Arsenal then.

He's alright but nowhere near good enough for a top 8 team.

Swansea is perfect for him to be fair.
