floyd__streete "Entrapment has won," says Allardyce.

No, justice has won because you got caught advising people how to financially benefit from circumventing your employers rules m8 :| . Bang to rights. And this is part of football’s huge, huge problem to be honest……people thinking that making a quick, illegal buck is fair game. The Sky pundits were unbelievably crass last night, stating in front of camera that Allardyce’s agent/advisor was to blame for setting up this meeting. So people with genuine links into the game think that getting caught is the only crime here :|

Football fans - and I have seen a few defending Allardyce and bemoaning the media for undermining the harmony of our ever underwhelming national team :| - would do well to remember that every dodgy dealing drives up wages, transfer valuations and therefore your ticket prices.

The professional game is Rotten. To. The. Core.

Absolutely agree with that Floyd. I think the problem is particularly acute with for former players from eras before the Sky ca$h came in to the game in the mid nineties onwards that are jealous of the money the current, even average players, earn. BFS will have earned a comfortable living as a player in the 70-80s, probably four or five times the average supporters wage but not the earning more in a week than fans earn in a year silly money that players now earn.

They almost see it as their right to squeeze more cash out of the game as they feel they are due some payback after 30 years in the game and want their slice of the cash sloshing around the modern game. Same goes for Blatter and his chums in a way. They also see the shister agents and think I'll have some of that.

They say money is the root of all evil and certainly its greed has cost Sam, and he has just emphasised his lack of class saying that entrapment is the winner, no, you are just sorry you were caught, not sorry you got involved. Clueless potato head with no morals, don't let the door hit you on the way out!

So anyone taking bets that Redknapp is one of the 8?

I would not be surprised to see Pards or Mourinho's names crop up either.

Well that's QPR looking for a new boss.

Our next two games against manager less clubs possibly.

Warnock will on the list surely. Especially when you consider Puncheon's tweets from a while ago.

At no point in the revelations so far has anyone been surprised at any of the names released.

Maybe that's for the weekend?

On the point of Big Sam, his actual agent was at the first meeting, got suspicious and advised Big Sam not to go to the next meeting which Sam ignored, which suggests even more Big Sam was in it for the money. I can't believe there isn't a whistle blower here. To get 12 men on hidden camera takes time and organisation and certainly something the Telegraph would do on a whim

and I bet there are more than 8 very scared PL managers, these are only the 8 that have been caught, not the only 8 who are probably active.

Given the amount of rather strange transfer activity at RFC over the last couple of years, I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised if someone associated with the club has been stung.

exileinleeds Details are sketchy but you know all the games the different companies have on their sites- they are all written by the one company....who is buying just about the biggest bookies....but it is ok, your data is utterly safe, the miners don't know much about you.

There are absolutely definitely no senior management on garden leave from companies working for other rival/competitor companies....definitely no sharing of data/information....

I'm not really seeing what the major problem is here

You know the games- 10p a spin or whatever? You know they are fixed so they only pay out maybe 5% of the time?....Imagine if they were 'adjusted' to suit individual players- you walk away when you have spent your £- but TF will feed it £1.50....

Ever wondered why you get a bonus around pay day?

They're licensed stock listed businesses, what good would it do to break the law like that.

bet365 for example turns over 1.5 billion.

I've just coded up a quick MCarlo simulation of what you'd expect with the house having
a 1% edge. As you can see they're going to get your money anyway

Thats 100 bettors starting with 10grand. They bet £100 a pop over 100,000 hands

There have been a few random signings over the past few years (Hurtado, Fernandez, Gravenberch) which appear to have no logic or even scouting behind them

Fernandez barely got a look in during the three years he was at Espanyol, Hurtado rarely gets a game for Peru (hardly a strong international side) , whilst Gravenberch was plucked from a struggling side in the Dutch Second Tier. Who's scouting and then signing these guys?

Whacking Hurtado on a three-year contract and then a couple of months and 5 sub appearences later deciding he isn't good enough does seem a bit odd given we a) are tight on money and b) employ people to make these signings

Obviously if you go back we've had years of meaningless and slightly odd foreign signings but it does seem in the last few years there have been a couple of questionable transfer decisions which fail to meet the 'hopeful punt' criteria

To be fair to football, and all the other sports, it's probably no worse than any other business/profession. Unfortunately in this ghastly materialistic world greed rules and every one's all right jack so long as they don't have to pay anything more than lip service to all the problems in the world.

Personally i think wages should be capped in every profession as it is truly obscene that any one can earn 50k a week let alone some of the stupid salaries that are banded about. All very well having a free market and free economy etc. but if you do then moral principles should also be enshrined in law.

Southampton assistant manager Eric Black being named in another sting story in the Telegraph mane.

There must be some terrified people in tracksuits this week.

What is the likelihood of superinjunctions starting to be bandied about?

Especially if one or more of the suspects has form in that area

Current list doing the rounds on Twatter...

- Steve Bruce
- Alan Pardew
- Mark Hughes
- Ryan Giggs
- Tony Pulis
- Harry Redknapp
- David Moyes
