by OzBiscuit2004 » 28 Sep 2008 07:30

Renault F1 boss Flavio Briatore has been discussing changing the name of Queens Park Rangers, the club he owns, to Queens Park City, to reflect its ties with London. (Daily Mail)

readingbedding Nah, I'm talking about your 'Keep sectarianism out of football!' line

How can you keep something out which has always been in?

That's my question.

I've heard abuse againt Blacks, Baldies, Gingers and the Welsh at football matches. In my 25 years of following the Royals I've never heard anyone abusing Catholics.

Perhaps Queens Park City were right about the standard of opposition at the weekend after all?

Returning to the original subject, QPR have now announced that all tickets for the rest of the season will be Category C. Looking at the price lists on their official site, they don't actually have a Category C (instead they have Gold, Platinum, Silver and Bronze categories). It seems likely that Silver is C, so unless they change their minds again the cost for our trip there will be £25 adult, £15 concessions.

Edit: There are some incredibly stupid people on these boards, so I think I'd better make it clear that the above paragraph refers to the away game scheduled for January, rather than the home game in five and a bit hours....
