Hope their fans are looking forward to all those televised Championship games.

Could be an awful lot of fun for Sunderland fans if they keep this up and get embarrassed on TV a lot.

Because an odd silly defeat when we miss a hatful of chances and slip up to a late goal, is, as said, "silly" and not too important in the general scheme of things

But had we lost 6-1 away with a full first team, that would be a serious worry

The Newcastle result suggests (SUGGESTS) that maybe they are still in disarray

I think that's relevant

(a) to our friendly results

(b) to the game Newcastle v Reading

I agree with Snowball. This is very relevant to the team. Newcastle are in shit state and we play them in about 3 weeks time. :D

Well if Newcastle defend as they did we both might get a few goals against them.

Mind you its probably the kick up backsides they need...and Orient were pretty good (finishing was very good at times)

It's narrow-minded of you to think that the Geordie message boards aren't over-flowing with news of our defeat to Kettering Town.

Anyone watch the Bobby Robson Trophy game yesterday?? Forget the game itself cos it was sh*te but shocking to see Sir Bobby in such ill health. Didn't even recognise him at first. Am very lucky to have met him 3 years ago when he was on good form.

Joe Kinnear is claiming that Ashley has offered him a two-year contract to return as manager. Even though he can't return to work until December. You couldn't make it up.

The depth of mess Newcastle Unted is in now is staggering.

Clubs are approaching Newcastle to make bids for players, but there is no clear focal point at the club and several clubs have reported that without someone in charge to negotiate with deals cant be done. 50 and 60 k a week players are refusing to take a hit, the club are refusing to allow players to fly to games, and are laying coaches for all away ties, while some players are refusing to take the coaches and are making their own travel arrangements by aircraft. Several players still there have stated openly they have no interest in staying. Beye and Bassong have both been subject of concrete offers at asking price and no one has responded from within the club.

Worse of all, one consortium claims to have made a concrete and credible competitive offer for the football club, and wiothdraw after one week with no response. No response whatsoever.

Its mind boggling!
