Saturday 9th April
NAT
Aldershot Town 2-1 Boreham Wood – vital win for Sh!ts in their efforts to stave off relegation – their first since January – helped by Kings Lynn only drawing 2-2 with Yeovil – ‘Linnets’ remain 5 points behind with 6 to play – and Aldershot have played 2 games less.
Dover Athletic 0-1 Maidenhead United Kelly on 92’ – ‘Athletic’ remain bottom on -3 points
FC Halifax Town 2-1 Woking
Wealdstone 1-2 Chesterfield
Wrexham 3-2 Eastleigh
- Stockport stay top ahead of Wrexham by 8 points with a 5-0 win over Southend on the late live showing – in front of 7,738 @ Edgeley Park.
- Looks very much as if Weymouth will join Dover in National South next season as the ‘Terras’ are 11 points from safety albeit with 8 games left.
- with Kings Lynn Town very likely to go down with these two, there should not be too much shuffling around between N & S for STEP02, as the Norfolk side will probably be 'forced' North where their previous incarnation (minus the ‘Town’) struggled badly financially, possibly as a result and eventually folded in 2010.
NATN
Brackley Town 1-0 York City – ‘Saints’ hold on to top spot by 1 point
- Gateshead in 2nd also win 4-3 at home to Chester – both have 6 to play.

Dulwich Hamlet 0-2 Oxford City
Hampton & Richmond Borough 2-0 Billericay Town
Havant & Waterlooville 4-0 Braintree Town
Hungerford Town 0-2 St Albans City - this drops 'Crusaders' out of the last PO Spot but there are still half a dozen clubs vying for 7th place currently held by StAlebuns - and even Slough could add themselves to this melee with a good run
Slough Town 2-2 Eastbourne Borough
Welling United 2-4 Ebbsfleet United
SLP-C
Barwell 2-6 Banbury United – Champions turning on the style - 2 each for Wreh, Stevens and Roberts
SLP-S
Beaconsfield Town 3-5 Tiverton Town
Farnborough 2-0 Poole Town move 3rd, three points behind H&Y with a game in hand – play Hendon, Hartley W and the possible winner takes all on the last day (23rd) down at Taunton
Hayes & Yeading United 4-0 Yate Town H&Y stay top with 2 games to play (v Chesham & Hartley W.) but 2nd & 3rd both have a game in hand
Kings Langley 1-2 Swindon Supermarine
Merthyr Town 0-3 Chesham United
Metropolitan Police 1-2 Taunton Town - this result most likely reduces the title contest to a three horse race now – Taunton’s win here snuffing out Met Pols' chances of the title as they are now 4 points behind the leaders and have dropped to 4th with only 2 games left.
- Taunton host Yate on Tuesday night and can go three points clear of Hayes with a win – they then travel to close rivals Tivvy on Easter Mon finishing off with the bumper clash at home to Farnborough
Truro City 2-0 Walton Casuals
Wimborne Town 0-0 Hartley Wintney

- I may venture down to that one for my 'Holiday Special' this year .......

Guernsey 2-1 Chalfont St Peter
Marlow 4-1 Sutton Common Rovers
Northwood 1-1 Westfield
Tooting & Mitcham United 0-1 Bedfont Sports
Uxbridge 2-1 Staines Town
- Probably only 2 down from this division with the demise pre-season of Whyteleafe and that almost certainly will be Staines and Chalfont
- In the PO spots currently are: Chertsey, Bedfont Sports, Basingstoke and Hanwell but with 5 games still to play Uxbridge and Marlow are still in touching distance.
CCL-PN
Abbey Rangers 6-0 North Greenford United

Camberley Town 3-1 Fleet Town
Farnham Town 3-1 Cobham
Frimley Green 4-1 Guildford City
Horley Town 0-1 Beckenham Town
Jersey Bulls 0-1 Badshot Lea Baggy Lea win it with an early goal and go 4th level with RPV. I think this might be ‘Bulls’ first genuine league defeat at their ‘proper’ home (Springfield) since joining the pyramid –a remarkable run – though with much truncated seasons 19/20 & 20/21 that actually only adds up to 30 games – Fixture congestion probably caught up with them this term, along with some quite breath-taking consistency from the two top sides in this Division this season: Beckenham and Walton &H.
Jersey still have 5 games left to play, all at home.
Redhill 2-1 Sheerwater
Walton & Hersham 1-0 Raynes Park Vale
CCL-1
AFC Aldermaston 0-0 Bedfont & Feltham
AFC Hayes 4-2 Chalvey Sports
FC Deportivo Galicia 5-2 Woodley United
Hillingdon Borough 2-0 Enfield Borough
Kensington & Ealing Borough 5-0 Cove
London Lions 0-1 Berks County
Rayners Lane 1-0 British Airways
Wallingford Town 3-1 Hilltop
- Top two both beaten - with leaders Lions upset by Berks County – Wallingford (in 4th) with a decent chance of finishing 3rd as Rayners only have one game left and although they are 6 points ahead of Town the latter have 7 games remaining.
SSM-P
Flackwell Heath 1-1 Hadley att 425 - was free admission game - visitors level in the last minute
Leverstock Green 0-3 Risborough Rangers
New Salamis {EIGHT] 8-1 Aylesbury Vale Dynamos
- Top two both win - RR still 2 games in hand and 3 points behind leaders New Salamis
- ‘Heathens’ back in 5th behind Hadley and Leighton –those positions unlikely to change.
SSM-1
Ampthill Town 1-3 Amersham Town
Burton Park Wanderers 3-2 Penn & Tylers Green
Kidlington Reserves 1-3 Shefford Town & Campton
Long Crendon 0-5 Wellingborough Whitworth
- All the goals in the 2nd half – a hopper arriving at Oxford City’s ground to see the Oxon FA Intermediate Cup Final missed the goals for this match but in his intended game which KO’d at 17:15 saw Woodcote beat Easington Sports ‘Dev’ 1-0
Thame United Reserves 1-3 Raunds Town
- Stotfold comfortable winners of this division well clear of Winslow in 2nd - barring a complete collapse –
- our ‘featured’ sides more or less all finishing mid-table: though understandably the two Reserve outfits had patchier seasons, presumably due to first team call-ups and both have seen a severe dip in form as the season runs to a close – Thame’s 2nd string had started reasonably well too.
- Perennial strugglers Amersham picked up some respectability with four wins in the last 6 and a very decent win at 4th place Ampthill yesterday.
WESS-P
Alton 3-0 Cowes Sports
Brockenhurst 1-0 Alresford Town
WESS-1
Andover Town 5-1 Totton & Eling
Ash United 1-7 {SEVEN} Andover New Street
Newport (IOW) {EIGHT} 8-0 Fleet Spurs
Whitchurch United 1-1 Petersfield Town
- Yet again this is the ‘go to’ League for ‘goal whoring’ (another less-than-delightful NL-hopping term)
- in the Premier, 6 of the matches on Saturday yielded 37 goals including a 12-2 @ Fareham in front of a crowd close to 300
- Losing Vase semi-finalists Hamworthy were already Champions: 7 points clear of 2nd placed Bashley with only 2 games left apiece.
- ‘Hammers' can reach 100 goals for the season, if they get 3 in their remaining fixtures but will join FOUR other clubs on that mark already – 3rd placed Shaftesbury have scored a bewildering 121 – Fareham who notched a round dozen yesterday alone – have scored 112 ..... but also shipped 96

- Five clubs at the lower end have conceded over 100 – pride of place to poor Amesbury - Fareham’s victims - and well adrift in bottom place – they have been breached a staggering 157 times and have a GD of -128 !
- In Div One it rained goals too: seeing 36 in the highest half-dozen games – including an 8, a 7 and three 5s
- Top spot currently held by Bemerton Heath (from a western suburb of Salisbury) but ANS are still within reach of honours: both have 1 game (Folland in 3rd have finished and although Newport IoW can draw level if they win their last game and the other 2 lose - they are 20 goals worse off). Top four are only separated by 3 points and as per the Premier, have all scored over 100 goals. New Street have racked up 7 on five occasions since mid-Feb.
- The division comes to a close on Good Friday – BHH host Andover Town who are 6th; ANS are on IoW but at struggling East Cowes.
- Newport IoW – been playing at Smallbrook Stadium this season (Speedway?) - host the 'Jam Boys' of Whitchurch – who are in lower mid-table.
- Fleet Spurs who sat rooted to the bottom for most of the season, eventually scrambled above Totton & Eling with better form in the New Year.
