Winston Biscuit
Winston Biscuit Boubacar Kamara to Villa from Marseille for free

Philippe Auclair (french football journo) absolutely raving about this bloke today. Said the French consider him to be one of their big future stars and said French football fans are annoyed and confused at how he has joined a team like Villa rather than one competing at the top and in the Champions League

Ahem.....

Although he is already preparing for his next contract negotiations with PSG by linking himself with Milan, Liverpool and Madrid again.

Aston Villa sign Diego Carlos from Sevilla. They are going to go hard this summer I reckon.

Is he in his last year of contract now, or once the 30th June passes?

Even still, seems an incredibly low amount for a player who has been so good for the last 4/5 seasons. Maybe tailed off the last couple, but has still hit some incredibly good numbers for someone who has "tailed off".

I thought this past season was one of his best for Liverpool?

It probably is, it just seems to be the "stigma" that some fans say. I think he's been pretty good, although having watched him a few times he can "look" as if he's not quite at it sometimes or misses some really easy chances.

But that's probably being very critical. 23 goals this season is not exactly poor by any means.

I guess Liverpool were happy to cash in with Jota and Diaz waiting in the wings.

Hopefully the AFCON/World Cup qualifying issue hasn't caused a rift between him and Salah.

If anything he's been more important to them than Salah this year.

Was about to say this. He has been far more impressive than Salah in the past season

Maybe not the first sort of 40-50% of the season, but certainly ever since he's been far more impressive than Salah.

I wonder if contract talks between Liverpool and Salah and discussions there have meant that Mane can maybe get a better deal at Bayern where he is earning either what Salah earns, or maybe more.

Lewandowski reportedly earns more than 3 times what Mane earns now, and if the former leaves to join Barca as is rumoured then Bayern will be looking for a new number 9 who will be the focal point of their attack and will earn oodles of money.

I get it. Its just that Liverpool are better than Bayern right now.

Yeah apparently Lewandowski is on his way out this summer as well, I could see Mane going there even if Lewandowski stays to be honest, just not sure where he'd fit in due to Sane and Gnabry already being there.

Mane has played quite a bit through the middle this season and that would be a very quick front three.
Would much prefer Mane to stay but if he goes, he goes and the club looks for a younger replacement and judged on recent signings the people at Anfield aren't too bad at spotting a player.
