Phew! Managers and players were very unhappy last night. Are you heading over to watch?

No can’t - U21’s on Friday afternoon and then the big one on Tuesday the Berks & Bucks senior cup final at Ascot.

Royals and Racers Didcot beat Ware 1-0 before a brilliant crowd of 1938.
1554 at Bracknell.

Proper scenes at Didcot on Monday. They certainly weren't expecting that many to turn up. The Didcot yoof turned out in force and packed the stand behind the goal singing and chanting throughout. Game wasn't spectacular, but Ware just could not break Didcot down once they took the lead. Will live long in the memory for us locals.

I still can't work out why they couldn't have played it on the weekend. It's not like it clashes with other games for the clubs. And why all ticket?
It's like they deliberately want to keep the crowd low.

Is that a Berks and Bucks decision regarding all ticket? Seems odd to cut off those who might make a last minute decision to go.

Hopefully people still be able to buy online on the day

NAT POs
NAT
Woking 1-2 Bromley :(
- S-Fs staggered on Sun PM
- Notts Co v Boreham Wd @ 12:30
- Chesterfield v Bromley @ 15:30 - bit fanciful perhaps but it would be 'quite nice' to see a Final between B'Wood and Brommers - with the prospect of a new 'EFL' entrant but fully expect it to be the other pair. Besides would be very harsh on County after they season they had?

NAT-N
Brackley Town 2-2 Gloucester City - 'Saints' win 5-3 on pens and travel to Chester on Sunday PM for the S-Fs (15:30 KO)
- other S-F is Kings Lynn v Kidderminster @ 12:30
- Beeb a bit late on the uptake still have Gloucester winning '0-0 on pens' as I type this ?

NAT-S
Worthing 2-1 Braintree - Worthing travel to Oxford City for the later S-F also on Sun
- the lunchtime game that day is Dartford v StAlebuns

CCL-1 PO S-F
London Samurai 2-3 Rayners Lane

CCL-1 (League)
AFC Aldermaston 3-5 Bagshot - was at this - mad result
- AFC contrived new and imaginative ways of collapsing - to hand 'Baggies' an unlikely win - included conceding three in or very close to over 10' of stoppage time
- was laudable that they both made the effort to get the game played - with nothing riding on it. Expect neither club wanted to upset the league any further by crying off again??

N.Hants District FA Final @ Whitchurch
Basingstoke Town 3-1 Romsey Town
- not quite sure how they (Romsey) fit into the 'North' sub-section?? :?

It was a complete shit show. To be fair to Langley they were excellent, very quick and powerful side. Berks County did score one of the best goals I have seen live though which is some consolation.

... yeah- the difference in class and commitment on the night was brutally displayed. County tried a high-line to start off and just got cut open time and time again -then went more compact and just got eviscerated down both flanks .... the few in the crowd around me in the 2nd half, following Langley, were quite surprised how BC folded so completely late on.

- Langley looked 2 (or even 3) levels better than BC at times - whom I've seen dismantle other teams - albeit not quite in such emphatic fashion. Actually saw them beat Rayners Lane - who host Langley in the final - 6-1 only about a month ago.

If Langley can produce this type of performance on a more regular basis and keep their on-field discipline - which creaked and flaked a few times - then, they will be a great addition to the CCL-PN
- and will continue at Arbour Park too - for the foreseeable presumably?

Providing of course they don't get pipped by Rayners Lane on Monday? :?

Nothing of note locally in NL on Saturday - bar some County Level fixtures.
Sunday has the 6 National League PO S-Fs as covered above: Brackley at Chester Oxford C H v Worthing

BH Monday sees the PO as above & the CCLP Cup Final @ Windsor: - Flackwell Heath v North Greenford

Just looked at Langley's website to see if I know any of the players....

That website.... kind of flashy but absolutely shite to get around.

Unless it's me just being too old.

I understand that the Royals are helping the other ' Royal' team Ascot prepare for the FA Vase final by allowing them to train on the SCL Stadium pitch prior to their Wembley appearance.
There are some local cup finals scheduled for the stadium before the pitch is completely relaid.

Yup Berks Trophy Centre for TVL Sat sides and Tilehurst Charity Cup for the Reading & District Sunday League.
Will post up details dates/finalists in due course - usually 19:00 KOs and c.£3 entry - Free Parking.

Edit BTC S-F this week Wed  - 19:30 - at Rivermoor Finchampstead v Reading YMCA. Yateley United await the winners.

....which is the same evening as the TCC Final at the SCL
19:00 KO FC Sporty (last year's runners-up) v Give Back FC

Sadly they haven't yet revived the Reading Senior Invitation Cup this season - was usually contested by all of our local STEP05/06 clubs - holders Wantage, I think ...last Final was pre-vids.
