Ian Holloway

Possibly one of the most down to earth kind of guys, one that you would expect to meet down the pub as well as one of most humorous in the whole of the football league!

Love him. Absolutely love him. His slating of Saints fans at the weekend was genius

As above. I was surprised he bit like that but still absolutely spot on. Likeable manager, down to earth, honest and players want to play for him.

Don't like him. Comes out with trite everyman rubbish and has form for being a bit of a McGhee. If he worked in an office, he'd be the irritating IT worker who gets talked into an excruciating stand-up routine at the Christmas do.

holloway "It's an unbelievable turnaround to have their fans singing 'Premier League, you're having a laugh' at us," added the Blackpool manager.

"Well I am having a laugh, I am loving every minute of it because my team has earned the right to be there.

"I don't think they should be quite so disrespectful, maybe they're a little bit jealous of the fact a little club like Blackpool can do it and Southampton have fallen from grace."

The..."knowing my luck if I fell in to a barrel of tits I would come up sucking my thumb" quote is my personal favourite.

I hope for his sake Blackpool v Southampton is not a Championship fixture next season

a bit harsh Prostak, but I don't get the adulation either. Mick McCarthy is far funnier.

Holloway is also a drama queen over the "I'll resign if the FA tell me what team to pick" issue. Or rather, he is a bit of a twat.

Good luck to him and Blackpool, mind, hope they stay up.

Decent enough manager but tries too hard to be too funny too often which is why his career will never go further than a stab in the premier league with a small club.

Can't argue with the job he's done with Blackpool but frankly I find him a Soccer AM adulation chasing, attention seeking bore.

Agreed. Obviously done a good job but the man comes across as the kind of person that would describe themselves as 'a bit mad' or 'wacky'.

Couldn't agree less. He's just someone who wears his heart on his sleeve and is passionate about the job he does. He's not afraid to make "everyman" comments and hates the politicking in the game. I'd rather have 10 Holloways and 10 Redknapps than one Ferguson/Wenger/Ancelotti whinging on about the big clubs don't get the "respect" they deserve and why does everyone hate them?

Agreed with TMD, Vision and Sogs. Acts like the world's against him when it was only him who ever thought that in the first place. does a cracking job though and obviously some of the schtick is to divert attention away from the players.

LUX Mick McCarthy is far funnier.

This.

Holloway has become a self-parody, which is never a good thing. It's almost like he has to get at least one 'quip' into every interview, but they all sound like he's been thinking them up for ages and just waiting for a chance to use them.

What, like Wenger, Ferguson, and pretty much every other Premier League manager?

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has described a bid of £3.5m for Charlie Adam as "absolutely disgraceful". Holloway claimed the valuation is way below the Scot's true value and said: "They're taking the mickey out of us."

The same Holloway who offered Plymouth only £20k for their top scorer...............

Cos its ok for him to take the mickey out of Plymouth due to their financial troubles but when teams want his player for a "low" fee then its apparently not on.
