If the Queen Elizabeth Olympic stadium was called The New Stadium that nearly might have been an amazing fact.

It's not bad though.

Anyway, what a cracking game yesterday. They're not going down.

Nice to see a microcosm of what West Ham are all about with all those kind, caring, happy chappie comments by fans.

Below is a picture of the Olympic Stadium and Orient's ground.

Now tell me that this is Orient's "patch".

What i dont understand is why Orient fans will now suddenly become West Ham fans, cos they've moved 3 miles closer?! :?

They won't necessarily, but while West Ham will be literally giving tickets away in order to fill such a big stadium, why would anyone - including kids - go to Orient?

They'll slowly decline, with no prospect of ever growing or being successful.

Just like Fulham though - Stamford Bridge isn't big enough to get all the fans in, so they go to watch Fulham instead. So this might happen to Orient eventually, when West Ham have a big enough fan base.

Same with Everton fans moving over to the lesser team of Liverpool

I hate knowing things I can't share, but when news comes out in maybe a week or so it will change everyone's perception of this and who are the goodies and who are the baddies.

It looks, and I may be completely wrong here, like you're implying some massive act of idiocy on the part of Barry Hearn. But then you said 'amazed' so that would contradict this theory.
