Wooney

by Man Friday » 16 Jun 2012 14:00

I've said it several times before on this forum but I really think we're better off without Wayne Wooney.

I note that every player in the starting eleven has in the two games we've played so far sang the National Anthem. It will be inetersting to see whether Wooney, the perennial non-National Anthem singer spoils this when he returns to the team on Tuesday.

Certainly we would have lost last night with him in the team and going 2-1 down. His head would have dropped and he'd probably have gone himself sent off.

So let's see, WW, if you're an asset to the team on Tuesday or a liability as you have been on many occasions in the past for England.

I wouldn't sing it either. The Queen and all her German roots can f**k off. Toffy nosed bunch of kunts.

It's a football match, not the Eurovision Song Contest!

You're right, it is a football match. But one in which you're representing your country. If you're not proud to play for your country or proud to support your country then fukk off somewhere else.

Presumably you hate all the black players for their non-English "roots" too?

You disgust me.

If the English had a national anthem I'd sing it. Unfortunately, unlike the Scots, Irish and Welsh we don't have a national anthem and have to make do with another entity's tune which is apparently all about how great some privileged family is rather than how terrific the country is....

WAWAWAWA

Rooney is far superior to all our other strikers. Whilst I prefer to see the players singing the national anthem, I really wouldn't use it as selection criteria. That would be retarded.

He'll help link midfield and attack better, offer us more ball retention and some genuine quality attacking threat.

He'll set one up, score one, get booked and then do nothing for the last 60 minutes.

I think this is set up to be Wayne's tournament.

He's healthy and rested - I bet Ukraine's defenders won't sleep too well on Monday night.

Seeing as England makes up the larger portion of the UK, its the closest we have to a national anthem I don't see the problem. Unless you're one of the moronic 18% who want a Republic for no real reason.

52% of the people chose Jerusalem as National Anthem for the Commonwealth Games. We should have that for the football as well

Errr that's because they have all been told to sing it, it was one thing Roy insisted on. Young never used to sing it but now does.

I've always suspected that Rooney doesn't actually know all the words. I can see him stuggling with "gracious", "victorious", "glorious" and "reign".
