Source please.

The only review I read said that some of actual football stuff at training etc was a bit pointless and dull but otherwise it's a decent look behind the scenes of the club.

My mate says it's worthy of the Office. Apparently he has a massive photo of himself in his house.

From my friend:

'Just caught this and it really is as incredible as I'd hoped, the highlight of course being Brendan 'friend first, boss second, probably an entertainer third' Rodgers: 'the player plus the environment equals the behaviour'; 'it's not about training players, it's about educating them'; 'every player I see as my own son'; 'the club provide me with a very nice car'; and, my personal favourite, 'remember one thing: you can only trust yourselves, no one else...You can also trust the supporters, because they're the best, and you can trust your family. That is why we're here, so let's concentrate on our performance and win the games' (straight out of the Brent playbook: http://goo.gl/rYaHc). Also enjoyed his understated interior decorating: just one picture hanging in his living room - of himself (http://goo.gl/dokKt).'

I thought it was a warts an all documentry. The Dalglish sacking was hardly mentioned and we had an hour of Rodgers talking utter bollocks. The visit to Boston Red Sox was cringing. It was obvious that the coach didn't have a clue who Rodgers was and vice versa it was just a set up for the cameras. We learnt that the players have shit loads of money, fit wives, flash cars, massive houses oh and Steve Gerrard would like a son one day as he has three daughters. Fascinating.

Just watched it, agreed there wasn't much in it of interest at all. Supposedly this is going to be a series of programmes going behind the scenes at various clubs in future, they'll need to improve the programme if that's the case.

Not trying to defend Rodgers but apparently the picture of himself was given to him by some Swansea fans for some charity work for the disabled or something, this is according to a columnist in the Telegraph today.

Did catch a bit of the show and it really wasnt very exciting

If you want the down-market equivalent of this, try "Birds, Balls and Brighton"

He did climb Kilimanjaro for charity after the play-off final, so fair fcuks for that, but he doesn't HAVE to put it in his living room as the sole piece of wall decoration.

It was badly made.

And it made it look like football people have sad empty lives when they're not playing or thinking about football. It was generally sad and depressing , and that's before the season starts

A huge own goal by Liverpool FC . Can you imagine Paisley agreeing to something like this ?

Yeah I was, tbh, hoping for a bit more than:

- Steven Gerrard sitting on his sofa whilst his wife looks awkward
- Fabio Borini's medical where they cut out the Italian saying anything at all
- Charlie Adam faiLOLing at small talk with a Boston baseball player
- John Flanagan saying he is going to train hard
- Luis Suarez and Lucas Leiva playing Monopoly

Perhaps it will get better - it was initially said that the first episode would include various bits of Dalglish's leaving the club (although not the actual meeting where he was sacked). Didn't go down too well with fans, so perhaps episode one was a hasty cut and paste.

I've just watched it on the '5 Player' and I agree with you. Paisley certainly wouldn't have done it though Dalglish probably would.

I got the feeling that BR agreed to do it so it would show what a great motivator he is when Liverpool start beating everyone. I wonder how many episodes there will be because he may need quite a lot. I liked the way his palatial home had double doors for when his head won't go through a single one.

It was boring and yet fascinating at the same time. I loved the bit when he was talking about getting the car from the club.

Lol at Gerrard saying how hard he tried to get his Mrs out on a date. She refused until he eventually cracked it! A big wag style WHATEVA to that.
